    Shelby or Parnelli

If I were a collector I'd take the Parnelli, but I'm not. Even though I am a huge Saleen fan I would pick the Shelby. Cars are to be driven and I'd be too afraid to damage the Parnelli/Saleen.

    05 GT compared to an 03 Mustang(Saleen)

I think you are comparing apples and oranges here, but this may help. I never owned a fox body Saleen but I have driven them. I also don't own a S197 mustang GT but I have driven them. In my opinion the fox body Saleens handle better than the new mustangs "stock". But, I currently own a S197...

    4.10 gears

For an automatic Ford Racing recommends 3.75 gears. It wouldn’t hurt to have a tune but it is not necessary if you are only changing out the gears. Re-flashing the computer is only needed when changing the exhaust and or induction.

Hood pins? Should I do it?

I have a 2005 Saleen S281SC Mustang. It has a Saleen fiberglass hood with the stock Ford latch. At high speeds the hood would begin to flap and in some cases the Ford latch failed. Saleen issued a full recall and replaced the Ford latches with a Saleen latch. If those people had hood pins their...

    Back fireing

Someone here had that same problem and Ford told him to use Chevron gasoline and the problem went away. They said it is a cleaner gas with Techron and that the octane levels don’t fluctuate like other brands.

    Saleen supercharger cold air intake

The Saleen throttle body sits almost exactly where the stock one sits. As far as I know all aftermarket CAIs work with the Saleen SC.

    Exhaust dilemma

It sounds like you just need a tune. The check engine light would probably have to do with the O2 sensors.

    Wheel/brake upgrade necessary?

Your stock brakes will work, but going to 20" will decrease your braking performance. It is wise to upgrade your front brakes to 13" or 14" .

Roush Stage 1 or Saleen S281

If I had to choose between the Roush Stage 1 and the Saleen S281 I'd go with the Saleen. The Saleen will handle a lot better than the Stage 1. The Saleen S281 is more comparable to the Roush Stage 2. You get a lot more with the Saleen. The interior is a lot nicer, 14" front brakes are...

What makes a Cold Air Kit...a Cold Air Kit?

Save your money and just drop in a K&N air filter and get a tune. You will have the same result.

    Nitrogen

If you have fancy chrome wheels; using 100% Nitrogen will protect them. After 10 years or so of using air, your wheels will be full of rust. Performance wise I don't see it for street cars.

Saleen uses their underdrive pulleys with their supercharger. Here are the specs from Saleen. http://www.saleen.com/s281_sc_specs.htm

    Which Header?

There is no other way to go in my opinion. JBA long tubes, JBA H-pipe, Steeda Motor Mounts, Steeda O2 extentions. :nice:

    Free Saleen SuperCharger

As far I as know the only changes are the pulleys, a K&N air filter and larger fuel injectors.

    Free Saleen SuperCharger

Mine drives like a bat out of hell. It is definitely worth it. To start off, go with the stock tune and 4psi and see how you like it. Chances are you won't feel the need to push it any harder. I'd also spend a little extra money on the Saleen gauge pod that measures the boost and the intercooler...
