    help with water temp gauge

You are going to have to open your raiiator petcock and drain the coolant until the level is below you temp sensor. Remember before you install the sensor to put some teflon tape on the threads. Be careful to not overtighten it . If you have an aluminum manifold it can easily crack.

My cooling system sucks for Phoenix!!! What should I use?

Yeah, it is not a clutch drive or electric. It is bolted directly to the W/P shaft and pulley. I figure it will take me @ least 3 or 4 days to do everything. I will probably start on it Friday April 29. I'm not sure if I have my e-mail on my profile, If I do e-mail me And I will call you so we...

    Dyno today. Pretty good news.

How was the cooling prior to the dyno? Sometimes they will advance the timing too much and that will sometimes cause it to get hot. Is the engine broke in yet?

My cooling system sucks for Phoenix!!! What should I use?

I run a 50-50 mix. The Hot Rod fan is $249.00 complete. You can have my old direct drive fan for free after I get my electric one on. This brings to mind, how many blades are on your fan? I have 6. You need @ least 5. The Spal is a very good fan but it gets really hot here. Even If the Spal was...

I just purchased a system from Classic Auto Air. ($895) They have the 7 cyl Sanden compressor (vs the 5 cyl from other companies) and a redesigned condenser that sets their system apart from everyone else. Also you might want to install an electric fan for those long stop lights. I am going a...

Classic car insurance, who has it and where to get some?

I use Hagerty. Their policy is that you have another car as your daily driver and you keep you classic in a locked garage. They told me they dont care how many miles I drive because they want me to enjoy my classic car. $200 yr full coverage. It was funny, I had to have my windshield replaced...

Opinions Of Trick Flow "High Port" Cylinder Heads?

I have the cast iron high port heads. I had them ported and polished and I love them. I have about 90,000 hard miles on them and no trouble. 1 thing tho..since they are high port I couldn't find headers that would fit w/o hitting the firewall. I purchased a new set of the old style shelby cast...

    looking for 2 solid answers....

As for the brakes it depends on how much you want to pay. Baer are very good at a fair price. They also have many options to upgrade as far as you want to go. All of the name brand companys are good but be sure to check their warranty and service.

    synthetic oils

I spoke to a person at Amsoil and I told him that I heard that sometimes on older cars when you switch to a synethic oil that leaks will develop. His reply was on motors wth a lot of miles on them some buildup may be on the oil seals. The synethic oil will clean them and may expose any minor...
