Mustang v6 engine smell when I floor it

02v6auto: Can't tell ya about the smell......but look at your rear calipers and verify that one of your pistons is not locked in the open or closed position.

    took a couple pictures

VERY nice looking car. I disagree about the Cobra center caps. There are times to be a purist (case in point the Stang with euro tail lights -Hell NO!) But center caps? They often ship with the wheels, and they compliment the vehicle. Good job on a beautiful ride.

    My most recent project:

VERY NICE!!! How is the ride with the Bilsteins? I wanted to get those but cheaped out and got Mach One shocks and struts, along with some "C" springs, BIG mistake. Don't get me wrong they're not bad just not as good as I wanted. Let us know how your new ride feels, carve any corners...

    Hyundai Mustang?

I don't know about you guys but my interest if piqued. I wouldn't buy it for speed, but I'd do ANYTHING to get rid of my "fantastic plastic" interior. LOL

    internals to a baddazz engine???

Jake: If memory serves me correctly, the last post I saw on you was that you were deploying to the Middle East. Barring my faulty mind. WELCOME BACK!!! And thank you for what you do.

    3.73 OR 4.10????????

Yes, acceleration is quicker. Yes, top end is decreased slightly. Yes, you will enjoy the new mod. No you will not lose mpg (some actually gain 1-2 per gallon). Hope that helps.

    LIQUID HElp....

I use Amsoil and at www.amsoil.com it has an application guide that tells you all of the fluid capacities, and grades of the fluids that need to be placed in your vehicle. Good Luck.

You have to have more than 4 posts to do so, I believe. Unfortunately I can't remember how many you are supposed to have. Sorry.

    I hope you can help

When was the last time you changed your plug wires? A similar thing happened to my wifes '98 and almost $3000.00 later and a rebuilt transmission we found out it was just the friggin wires! Good luck.

    headlight replacement

No you don't have to take off the bumper. The headlight is a self contained unit. Once you clear the aforementioned clips it should just slide out, although if you have had them on for awhile you might have to rock it back and forth a little to loosen it. If I recall correctly there are two...

    headlight replacement

I agree with gunmetal5.0. Get a Haynes, or Chilton's. The only "tricky" thing about the headlights is on the 3 clips (for lack of a better word) they have tiny prongs that must be depressed before you can remove the headlight. That is the ONLY really tricky thing about the headlight removal.

    missfiring/stumbling on a 3.8L mustang

Definately do a diagnostic to pull any codes firing. Also check your fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, oil, transmission fluids, and it wouldn't hurt to sea foam your car too. Just did mine and it runs GREAT now. Doc

    T-LOK

DO NOT do the work yourself. It is VERY intricate and needs special tools for the calibration/alignment if I remember correctly. Have a shop do it, that way if they end up installing them wrong and damage your ride, THEY HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! : ) Also I recommend you change your gears WITH the...

    Something Rattling While Accelerating!

Also check (believe it or not) your brakes! I had the same thing and it turned out to be something hosed with my brakes!
