    Oh boy,,only a couple days away from running

    Spent yesterday hooking up this and that. Waiting on new H pipe. There is oil and water in the car. Put the upper/lower and TB on yesterday. Just have to finish up a little bit of wiring on the inside. Hoping to not have any major issues and be back on the road Monday!!!!

    Whats your 1/4 mile and RWHP #s?

    Last summer, previous owner went 13.4/13.5 w/87GT GT40 crate motor. When I bought it, it had 249/283tq. Drag radials i think. Just added Holley Systemax Kit, I'll advise later.

    Give me a couple weeks and I'll tell ya. Pic in the sig,,bought it w/a Ford GT40 crate motor. Had the normal 5.0 intake, 70mm spacer TB. Dyno'd at 249hp/289tq Just added: Holley systemax kit, roller rockers, ditched the AC and power steering. Hoping for 320 at the rear wheels.

    I implore you to do every IRS brace/bushing that you can get,,protect that rear end!!!! Bro, when I had mine I had the IRS work done, cold air, pulley, x pipe, flowmasters, SCT chip and tune. All work done by JDM performance in NJ. Dyno sheet when I picked up the car in NY was 475hp/499tq...

    Whats wrong with 4-Lugs??

    I like my Weld's w/4lug. My rearend is professionaly built w/stronger axles, so Im not worried about it. Only thing I don't like,,,,rear drum brakes!

    why no holleys?

    I got the kit for a song and put it on my stock GT40 crate motor. Yeah, I hear it's a little big unless you have some xtra cubes (stroker), but for the price I had to do it. Im bout to fire her up for the first time in two months. I'll try to keep ya in the loop. Dyno day is Feb 17th.

    Got pulled over....long but worth it!

    Glad you both acted like gentlemen when you got pulled over. You also got lucky by getting pulled over by "good cops." I get tired of the " I hate cops threads " and it was nice to read a good story for once. Yes, most of us like fast cars/muscle cars. Yes, Im a Deputy Sheriff here in Florida.

    Tach and oil press gauge came from Hendrick racing, out of Kenny Schraders race car. (This means they are really old, he drove for him in 88) Oil temp (ebay) Volt (ebay) Water Temp, purchased new.

    I practically stole the kit from some guy in OH! Haaaaaaaaa. The passenger side valve cover is wide open for filling oil, no worries there. Im just bummed that I couldn't get away with just the one inch spacer. Just hope she runs good.

    91ghp: What's up bro. Wish I could've made the Silver Springs show,,the "Gang" convoy'd up there from here. As for the MSD box, it was mounted there when I bought the car, so that's where it stays. We still do the Wendy's cruise in every Friday (US19 and Nebraska)
