    You won't. Back in the '70s, you could gain a significant amount of HP by using a colder thermostat because the engine would run richer and you could advance the timing more, but with fuel injection the computer already compensates for the temperature and maintains the same A/F ratio and timing...

    I have 17 x 9 Cobra R rims with Bridgestone 275/40-ZR17 and they never rub on my 98 GT but there isn't much extra room. I would go with the second set so you will still have the option of rotating them. :nice:

    No it isn't normal, I have 275/40 on 17 x 9 Cobra R rims on all four corners and they do not stick out or rub (ever). Something is definitely wrong. :notnice:

    You are going to have to get the third bolt tightened down. If you slightly loosen the other two, you can get to the third using multiple extensions by coming at it from in front of the front tire. PITA, but with a little persistance you should be able to get it. :nice:

    98 fuel rail will not work on a 99 engine because the 99 has a returnless fuel system and the 98 doesn't. Also, you could not use a 98 PCM in a 99 because the VSS on the 98 goes directly to the speedometer, and on the 99 it only goes to the PCM. The PCM controls both the speedometer and odometer...

    The injectors, throttle body and plenum are identical on the 98-01, but he will need the fuel rail, wiring harness and COP (coil on plug) modules. Also the PCM is different. :nice:
