    The ET/mph in my sig was with 15rwhp/30+rwtq less than the dyno numbers. i should have been in the 116-117mph range all day. Nevertheless, I am installing my vortech S trim, it will be somewhat fast after that (looking for 123-125mph traps).

    I suspect that since he had an auto he let it automatically kick into 1st from 2nd, thats why you got such a big jump out of the hole on the rolling race. He probably would have been better off manually dropping it down. Good death/kill.

    Chevelle SS is on the way. Chevy Hi Performance had an article I believe. Its the same sort of interior as the GTO, but a better exterior. It has the same power and 6 speed, and will trap 104-105mph stock. Problem is it is still heavy (3700-3800lbs) like the gto.

    I suppose that would be good business sense, but after all the hype I would have expected more. I guess if they are gonna run special prod. versions, then that would leave them room to play.

    1. Ford has yet to respond with a regular production motor that makes the same power. 2. Coil packs on valve covers dont look too pretty, thats why they hide them with the plastic covers...dumb azz.

    Beotch, I have seen 2 run at Epping. There is my proof. One of them had a CAI and dr's, so it wasnt even stock and still trapped 100mph. The reason i quoted articles at all is cuz i havent seen a GTO in person.

    You make some good points. I stated what I stated because alot of guys on this site believe the demise of the fbody was because the GT's and Cobras are better cars. Thats really the crowd I was targeting.
