    anybody still use this?

That crossmember is one of a handful I made up for swapping a T5 into a MII, using the 4 speed bellhousing. It's the same one that was reverse-engineered by Phil, although from what I hear mine fits better. You shouldn't have any problem selling it 77sleeper. The swaybar endlinks are the ones...

    Mustang Roundup in Bellevue, WA

Mustang Roundup 2008 is this weekend - the big show is Sunday. Who's bringing their II this year? I'll be there with my King Cobra. C'mon let's see some of those cars...they don't need to be perfect!

    Mustang Roundup in Bellevue, WA

I wish I could make it to Roundup this year but unfortunately my King will not be ready in time either. The front suspension is getting overhauled with new springs, control arms, bushings, etc. I was hoping it would be back together by this weekend but now it's looking more like next week. If...

    14" Tire Fitment.

You should have no problems. I have 215/60R14 front & back on 14x7 Outlaw II rims (4" backspacing I think). Fits fine on my car & could probably go a little wider too.

    Electric fans

No cooling problems with two 10" fans? Even sitting in traffic on a hot summer day? I see from your picture jeffnoel that you have a nice aluminum radiator...no doubt that helps.

    Electric fans

Mustang J: your car is cooling fine with two 10" fans? Did you mount them on a fan shroud or are the fans just mounted straight to the radiator? Stock-type radiator? For those with electric fans, did you need to upgrade your alternator? A single 16" Mr. Gasket fan draws only 11.4 amps. Seems...

    spring length?

These are the specs for the "heavy duty" spring available for the MII: INSIDE DIA.= 3.5 in.; BAR DIA.= 0.59 in.; FREE HEIGHT= 13.81 in.; SPRING RATE= 364 Lbs./In.; LOAD= 1561 Lbs.; LOAD HEIGHT= 9.5 in.; END 1= SQUARE; END 2= TANGENTIAL ...and the specs for the standard spring: INSIDE...

Take a look at mustangii.net. It explains how far back the crossmember needs to move.

    Production Statistics ??

Pretty much what Cobraman said: http://www.graphic-express.com/978_cobra_2_mustang.asp I installed the King Cobra decal kit from Graphic Express. Excellent quality reproduction (Ford Official Licensed Product) using 3M material.

    In search of Vince

Are you using the RAD-4 bellhousing or fox T5 bell? The crossmembers I designed were for use with the RAD-4 bell. All the "production" crossmembers are gone but I did find one of the prototype versions a while back. If you're interested, give me your email address and we can work out the...

Yeah, I forgot about the show too. Too bad I missed the Handler. Do you guys have any more pictures?

    HELP! uneven valve stems

Another thought...Ford used a hardened steel cap on the exhaust valve with rail rockers. Could be the cap is missing.

    HELP! uneven valve stems

What type of head is it? You mentioned in your other thread you had a choice between rail-type or pedestal-mount rockers. I assume you're using a hydraulic cam & lifters? So you'll need .020 to .060 preload on the lifters. Bolt everything up and check to make sure you're in that range. If not...

    reproduction control arms

Thanks, that settles it. I'll get new arms.

My own control arm thread -- turbines

I don't know if anyone has tried this, but regular tubular upper arms may work. I had turbines on a previous II and they rubbed the stock arms on the formed-up edges. Tubulars may have more clearance in this area (?). The other problem was the ball-joint bolts rubbing the rims. The factory...

    reproduction control arms

I think I will go the same route. I'm not sure how common it is, but apparently the lower control arms can develop cracks around the ball joint area. So using new arms is a good idea. Do you remember seeing any markings or part numbers on the ball joint? I'm curious which manufacturer is used...

    reproduction control arms

Anyone using or seen the reproduction stock-style upper & lower control arms? These come with ball joints, bushings, and the cross-shaft for the upper arm. My front end needs a complete overhaul, so I'm debating whether to use the reproduction arms, or clean-up my old arms and add new Moog ball...

    a few pics

I went on a mini road trip last weekend and thought I'd share a few pics of the car. These shots were taken near Lytton BC, about 3 hours northeast of Vancouver. On the way back from the drive I went through a radar trap doing well over the speed limit, but the cop didn't pull me over. He...

    Header Bolt ??

Right now I just have regular 6-point bolts. I can only get an open-end wrench on some of the bolts. One of these days I'm going to see if I can find socket-head bolts (ie allen-key) instead of hex-head bolts.

    94-95 t5 install experience

I've got a T5 with the 94-95 input shaft in my car. I let my mechanic deal with the install, and after doing a mock-up he insisted the input shaft didn't engage far enough into the pilot bearing. He ended up getting a pilot bearing sleeve made up similar to the one Darryl (a351must2) used.
