    Sumitomo HR Z II tires anyone have them?

    Got a pair on the mach cause its mostly a DD and not a racer and they are decent for the money but I can spin through 1st, 2nd, and part of 3rd if I hammer it.

    did it on the Gt i used to have. You have to dremel the clear bit off. I tried the razor method and cracked the original one and had to buy another. I used a few dabs of black silicone to glue it back together in case I ever wanted to open it again.

    03 machs are going for about 16k around here, with gts going for 12-14. not sure what the market is like in florida. That price seems high though, I paid $19.5 for mine 2 years ago with 24k miles.

    I had mine done by a shop here in town. I dont think youll need a new clutch. When they did mine I needed the transmission itself, and a shifter to go on it ( MGW ), then they modified my existing crossmember, and sent the driveshaft to be shortened, and I believe the wired the reverse lockout...

    seems like replacing the throttle body is hit or miss as far as having issues. There is a sticky about it over on m1r I believe.

    had to replace a stud when i did the midpipe on the mach. took it to the local exhaust shop and they swapped it for a new one for $50.

    i have read that there can be issues with the 3 point and aftermarket intake elbows. may try asking on the registry for more info.

    sounds like the 2 one comes with both the catted legs and the o/r ones in case you have to swap them for some reason like emissions testing or what not. Not sure about which one you need for sure though my bassani used the same part # as the GT.

    you can buy nylon plugs from lowes. Mine cost about $1.50 or $2 for all four total.

    whats everyones thoughts on Sumitomo tires?

    I have the 315s on the rear. Guess I am a cheapskate. Great for the money but dont even bother trying to race with them. I can break mine loose on a solid 1-2 shift. Really have to watch out in the rain or when or its nice and cold. But for normal DD duty they are fine.

    my 3650 made that sound and the T56 in there does too now. From what I have read its a noisy ToB. The only time I can hear it enough to bother me is when the wife is in the car and she wont let me turn the radio up cause "Its toooo loud."

    I learned my lesson after doing the X on my GT in the garage. Went down the the little shop down the street and they let me put the mach on the lift and the mechanic got his tools and loosened them then hand tightened them back so i could get them off at home.

    i had a tranny shop do the swap for me since its still a bit beyond my abilities. They wired the lockuout to the brakes so you cant put it in R without stepping on the brake.

    MGW also allows you to rotate the handle 360 degrees to get it in just the right spot for you. The only issue that i have is that it is really tough to hit reverse sometimes.
