Yeah, they are really hard to come by and when you do find them they're fetching $2500+ if they are in any kind of decent shape. A really banged up set went for $1400 on ebay a little over a year ago. I've heard a rumor that someone has had 30 sets of them imported from Japan that were...

Yeah, it's a GT. I got rid of the 93 Cobra wheels because the replicas came out and now there are too many cars out there with them. Don't get me wrong, I love them, but it was time for something different. I've wanted a set of Stern's for a long time and found a set that I couldn't pass up.

Roland- Nice car man. Looks exactly like my '88 did 10 years ago. Mine doesn't look like that now. Yours brings back memories of mine when I bought it and drove it in college. OonDeanis- are those HRE's your wanting? They kind of look like the HRE 546's. I love HRE's, but my budget won't...

Vicki, I have the same concern as you. The list that was published is not as accurate as was made out by the publication. There are many discrepancies. The great thing about this thread is that it can be discussed and hashed out to find the answers. I've seen discrepancies in the sales...

No, not yet. Right now the only breakdowns are paint code, interior color and trim code (GT, LX, 5.0, coupe, vert, and hatchback for 87-93 and coupe, hatchback, vert for 79-83-86) The 82-86 GT's weren't indicated by vin code from the regular LX, GLX 5.0's like on the 87-93's so all 5.0's are...

Thanks fellas. It's definately a GT. I liked the GT sideskerts better than the Cobra's. I like the little wind spats. So I kept them. I would never try to pass it off as a real cobra..EVER! Blasphemous. But I loved all of the Cobra trimmings except for the rocker moldings. I actually got...

    When did Mustangs have t-tops?

Mine's an 88. ;) And it wasn't originally a T top car. They could be ordered at the Dealership. Anyone could pick out a car on site and it could be converted at the dealership. Cars and Concepts offered the kit to the dealers so they could retrofit cars on site. Mine was made a T top car...

Please don't misconstrue my posts. I was not meaning to degrade what you have done by posting this. It took a good bit of your time to post it. It is good to have it out at the forefront of the forum for people to look up. But, it is just as Shakerhood mentioned a couple of pages ago in that...

I was referring to the tag on the door or the door jamb. It has all the options listed on it. I thought you were referring to the "buck tag" on the radiator support. From 82-86 that is the only way to tell if the car was officially a GT or not. That is something that Stew couldn't tell you...

And if you look at the vehicle certification tag, and find the color stamp on the inside fender apron or radiator support you will know the month and day your car was made. I am well aware. I've been at this hobby for quite some time. What I'm saying is the information MM&FF is putting...

I am not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but you could get all of the info listed in MM&FF for many years. www.thirdgenerationnewsandbeyond.com is where you went for it. Stew Jones could give you the exact date of production of your car, how many were produced like it that day and that...
