Where to find speedo drive gear for BW T10?

Thanks, I'll check them out. Also, does anyone know what the correct gear actually is? The original gear is missing and I'm running across conflicting information about what the gear should be. Is it steel or plastic?

Where to find speedo drive gear for BW T10?

I'm trying to replace the speedometer drive gear for an early Mustang T-10. Apparently these gears are pretty difficult to find, so I'm hoping someone out there might know where to get them. If they really are impossible to find, anyone know if/how I could make a drive gear for a top loader work?

    Please Post Your Gas Mileage

I have a 2010 GT, 5-speed with 3.55 diff. I usually average around 28mpg highway; however, if I'm careful I can do even better. I recently drove from Ventura, CA to Phoenix, AZ on one take of gas, that's about 420miles. With the cruise on 70mph I averaged 30.5mpg, even with the A/C on. Not too...

    1972 Convert Resto

I installed a new top myself (with folding glass window) and it looks great. It takes plenty of patience but the actual process is straightforward. Be sure to replace your tack strips and constantly check your top alignment before stapling it down. There should be existing threads that will...

    1969 vert boot issue

I find the boot cover is probably one of the most annoying aspects of a 69 convert. Even with it tucked in and snapped down (a process which can be quite an ordeal) it still manages to undo itself every now and then. I've actually seen a few cars where snaps have been added around the chrome...

Conv. Top Fabric Pulled Away From Top Rails - Balloon Car!

The top won't come off, but it's certainly an annoying problem to have. Unfortunately the only way to really fix the problem is a new top, but there are quick fix solutions you can try. It should be possible to use a strong fabric glue to reattach new fabric loops for the rods to mount in.

    1969 Rear Seat Differences

I was wondering if the rear seat in a coupe is the same as a convertible. I was looking at deluxe interior upholstery and noticed the coupe was a different part number than a convertible. I've always been under the impression the seats and upholstery are the same, is this true?

    Convertible Top Install Question

Any fabric adhesive cement should work fine. It only needs to be glued in a few spots (the front header being the most critical) and the glue doesn't take any stress, the staples do. Be sure to use decent glue for the weather stripping or the top will leak. I installed the top on my '69 in...

    Convertible top: acceptable variance?

My '69 convertible top is symmetric about the center axis of the vehicle. I installed the top myself, and I think it would be difficult for the top fabric to line up to the header if the geometry is that inconsistent. It's possible your top is just poorly installed, misaligned, or has parts...

WTB: 69 Dlx Int Clock Bezel

I need the plastic clock bezel for the deluxe interior on a '69 Mustang. I already have the woodgrain and clock, but the bezel I have is badly damaged. Also need stainless trim above carpet on deluxe interior doors. Please email me at [email protected] Thanks

The picture would be great, thanks. I think I might reinforce the rear frame anyhow.

    Rear sway bar installation problems

I'm installing an ADDCO rear sway bar on my '69. It's the type that runs along the axle and mounts to the axle tubes and frame. I bought it without any instructions and I'm not exactly sure how it attaches. Could someone copy the instructions or possibly take a picture of it installed? I'm...

    Distributor Installation Question

Thanks... that was exactly the problem. I completely forgot the 180 degrees on the dist. Car runs great now.

    Distributor Installation Question

Yep... I wired it counterclockwise and the firing order is correct. I pulled out the pertronix ignition and replaced with points. I'm getting spark but it still won't start. I'm guessing that the position I assumed to be TDC actually isn't, but it's definitely the position the rotor is...

    Distributor Installation Question

I installed a rebuilt distributor and now I can get the car started... I've done this before so I don't understand what's going wrong. Once the distributor was installed I set the engine at TDC and wired the cap accordingly. I tried to set the distributor to about 10 degrees advance. At...

    Help With Convertible Top Pad

Are you talking about the cheap padding or NPD's expensive padding, the stuff they claim is like original that costs $100? I also thought about making my own and probably will. I'm really starting to hear some bad stuff about NPD, I always thought they were pretty good.

    Help With Convertible Top Pad

I bought a new top from NPD along with the padding. I opted for the cheap padding because it's supposedly "like original but not correct material" and $80 cheaper. Well, I opened it up and it's just two pieces of junk material that were sewn together. It looks nothing like the padding that was...

    390 bored to 427

Thanks for the help. I bought the engine... it seems life is better when you have a big block sitting in your garage, even if its just a 390. I know I've heard of them being bored/stroked to a 427. When I get the motor I'll pull the heads off and see what it is.
