    Sounds like it is starving under a load, take the fuel line off the carb and check the flow before the filter and after the filter by having someone turn the engine over with the fuel line pointed into a gas can. Even a clean filter installed backwards will cause this problem.

    yes, the filter can clog completely and kill the engine. It is worth it to clean out the tank. Mine was full of newspapers, rocks, and papertowels when I purhcased the car 6 years ago. Drain the tank clean it out and blow your fileters out.

    Your question is confusing. To correctly remove the wing window you will have to take out the quarter window assembly becasue I am sure once it is out you will want to replace the window gasket.
