Drop Springs + UCA Drop = still too high. any recommendations before I cut my coils?

Cut a half coil off the springs... that'll set you right. At least it did for me.

Went from 3.70 gears to 3.00...

I must say... it sure is a sad time when we have to be concerned with gas mileage on our little hot rods. I'm just fortunate my stang doesn't need to be a daily driver. Dang gas prices!!

Ok, so the rack&pinions suck... What are we gonna do about it?

Please excuse my laziness for not reading the entire post.... but what exactly is a Shelby Quick Steer Kit? Where can I get one or look at it? Cost? Thank you.

    It's official.... I have brakes!

It's official.... I have brakes lights! It just so happens it was the first green wire I tried. I first put a clip on a powered wire and connected it to the positive spade on the brake light switch. I then grab the green wire, attached a clip to that.. and connected it to the other side of...

    Car won't start...

Yeah, it's strange... but like I mentioned on that other thread of mine... I just have to concentrate on getting that brake light switch wired up properly and be done with it.. hopefully.

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

Well I've never seen my car move without me in it. So I can't attest to them ever working. I can only go on what the wife tells me. So who knows?? No I did not see anything unusual when I put my Baer systems on. Either way... I think I've got a handle on what I need to do. I just...

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

I have a couple of wires under there that are not connected. I'm going to try and run a power wire to them to complete the circuit... thus hopefully turning my brake lights on.

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

Hey man... no problem. I appreciate the effort. I took a look at someones 67 yesterday and noted the the connector and it's wire colors too. I'm going to try and hunt them down over the weekend. thanks.. :)

    Car won't start...

Oh yeah, sorry Pak. Well I pulled the negative cable off the engin block and it was split. So it probably was't giving me a good ground. I went to the store and bought both cables right away and put it all in last night. Fires up just fine. Although like mentioned above..... I still...

    Seriously now.... WTF??!!!

Well, I'll tell ya... this one continues to baffle me. I pulled the instrument cluster out tonight and tore off all the black tape holding the wires together. I was still not able to find any wiring to run to my brake light switch mounted on the brake pedal. I do have a few empty plugs...

    Car won't start...

Okay, I'm being greedy now... :) Does someone care to itemize what order they'd check things? I'm going to try the ground from the battery to the block first. What other grounds are there for me to check? I know I'm trying to get off cheap by not buying a multitester... but I'm one...

    Car won't start...

Hey Pak... you snuck your response in just as I put mine in. I completely agree with you... I just didn't see it until after I posted. Sorry. I'm going to try all the free stuff first.... then I'll invest the $20 later if I can't narrow it down. At least now with peoples responses I have...

    Car won't start...

It's like power isn't even getting to the starter to turn the engine. As soon as I turn the key, the interior lights go OUT and nothing happens. Again, the battery is good. Something must be shorting? Is there a way to check if the solenoid is bad?
  16. BAD67FUN

    Car won't start...

Could it possibly be the solenoid itself? The connections seem fine? I've been removing items not needed. The heating system, windshield wiper fluid stuff. Do ignition modules go bad? I'm thinking that I should just start going thru all the wires, label things, and move on. I don't...

    Car won't start...

okay... i'm not that intuitive... could you narrow that down a little?

    Car won't start...

What are symptoms of the ignition going bad. I turn the key and nothing happens. The lights go dim and out. Nothing. It's kind of like there is a short in there or something. Maybe something is grounding out? I even noticed the positive post on the battery is very warm. The battery is...

Weight balance on a classic stang

That's getting pretty good there. Did you do anything else to save weight? I'm thinking a fiberglass R model cowl without the bumber and a glass hood should help too. I bought Summits battery relocation kit and just didn't like it. The box is way too big and the slightest smell of gas in the...
