It is also best to weld in the subframe connectors instead of just bolting in. He may also have been referring to a high dollar O2 sensor like Desno brand.

You are right. I was thinking of the square edge cars. Can't believe I missed that one since I own a 97.

Wondering if K&N is worth it?

Yeh for $40-50, I think I will just buy a new one once I've put about 25k miles on mine. K&N claims it's good for up to 50k before needing cleaned, but I think it depends on where you live. If in west Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, etc., I'd say sooner.

    97 Cobra

About $8500-9000 tops for near 100k miles. I got my 97 last year with 46k miles for $11,500.

hey 93 cobra guys! thinking of buying a cobra tell what you think with pics

That's actually not bad if it's close to stock. I'd offer them $8500 and be willing to come up to around $9250. The 93's are getting rarer and are starting to come up in price. I was just considering saving for one myself before they get too high.

How many miles do you have on your cobra?

49k on my 97. I bought it 14 months ago with 46k. Trying to keep the miles down yet enjoy it too. Take it mainly to car shows and drive it around locally.

    96cobraQ's

This is gonna sound too simple, but try buying a bottle of Valveline's annual fuel treatment. It states to use it once a year or every 10k miles. I recently used this on my wifes Ford Windstar van and it got rid of all the pinging and irregular idle. As for quick bolt on mods start with a...

    Have any of you noticed

This is funny cause I just posted a somewhat similar thread on svtperformance.com in the roadkill forum like 10 minutes ago. I guess we are just all proud of our cars. Let's stick together and give ideas how to defeat the LS1 guys.

Could someone explain the difference in gear sizes?

Thanks guys, that answers my question perfectly. I hate discussing something when I don't know all of the basics.

guys who have changed their brake pads...

I personally would not use needle nose pliers. You could slip and poke a hole in the rubber seal around the caliper. I got an universal tool from Autozone for like $6-8. You have to apply preasure while you are turning the piston clock wise. I found out that even tho you think you may have...

Could someone explain the difference in gear sizes?

What does the size of a gear refer to? For instance, what does the size 3.73 equal. Is it a metric size of something? Is it the amount of grooves on the ring or pinion? Just curious where it comes from.

    Catback?

I have Magnaflow catback with the regular mufflers, but if you want louder you can go with the Magnapacks. I think I got about 10 extra HP out of it. Their website shows this combined with their catted X-pipe you gain like 23hp and 24torque.

    Cobra Rims

I have 285's on the back on 10.5" rims. 315's would fit, but probably rub on quads or exhaust. It really depends on the brand of tire. BFG's and Goodyears run really wide. Nitto's run really narrow. The largest you are supposed to put on an 8" rim is 255's.
