Can snow tires cause T/C issues?

TC works by measuring the rotational differences between the front and rear wheels, usually allowing a 10% slip before activating. Your tires have different diameters from front to rear, that's what's activating your TC. Look at total diameters or revolutions per mile on the tires.

    Strange Ticket

It depends on jurisdiction, some cities actually have arrest powers within the county/area, not defined by city limits. And it sounds like he was "in pursuit", not just following. Accelerating too quickly while getting on the expressway can open up a huge gap that may take an officer miles to...

    Red Light Cameras a Scam.

Just tell them you were busy reading the posted sign that states, "This intersection monitored by red light cameras", and you didn't notice the light change.

    Strange Ticket

Man up to it. Either take traffic school, pay the fine or hire legal counsel. And next time, look around before you "accelerate too quickly".

    rearend help

I'm more into road racing than 1/4 mile also. I went with the tru trac just because of the fact it didn't have clutches that would need replacing. There were other reasons too...but the gear driven diff. had alot of advantages over a eaton or t-loc. The main problem with the gear driven type...

    Panhard Bar question

There isn't much room for the exhaust and phb over the axle, so a side exhaust or turn downs might be an option. My phb does the same as yours, it's just a little rattle when I take off from a stop, but I'm usually listening to my exhaust or the radio, so it doesn't bother me too much.

    Tire Size Suggestions

I've got 18x9.5 and I'm running 275/35's all around. I get a little "tram lining" when I meet some ruts, so I think I'm going to down size a bit in the front (255-265's, havent really researched that yet) and go wider in the rear (295's maybe).
