75mm tb edlebrock typhon intake weird question

PP typhoon intakes are cheaper for a reason, rough castings and not as accurate machining (if any). You pretty much need to port gasket match the upper to lower plenumn, the throttle body opening, and the intake ports to the heads. See below FORDMUSCLE webmagazine: Budget EFI Intake...

Runs fine with mass air unplugged

Did you try the cheap stuff first like cleaning the maf thermisistor with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. If you have an aftermarket air filter that is oiled, over time the oil sticks to the sensor and screws with its sensing abilties. Also did you clean the terminals on both the harness and the...

Runs fine with mass air unplugged

Whats your initial problem? Limp mode is using default guessed values for your air/fueling rather than actually reading the incoming air from the maf. To me it sounds like your maf is faulty or not calibrated correctly to your injectors to the point where the fail limp mode is actually closer to...

    Idle & V.S.S. Question

the A9l uses the vss when your decelerating to a staiblize your idle so your car doesn't stall, it adds extra air to bump the idle. Pretty common for it to decel slower and hang a bit before returning to idle when fully stopped.

how much radiator do I really need???

I pretty much think they are equal in terms of cooling, although copper has better thermal capabilities the process in their design limits their cooling to that as about the same as an aluminum radiator due to the solder in the fin area restricts cooling. I'd go with whatever you like better...

Fumes leaking into cab from e-brake/console area

speedo cable where it mates gear on trans, or rear main seal on back of the engine would be my two guesses.

About to give up... need help

Sounds to me like a fuel filter being clogged, or the fuel pump is dying. Its also possible the that something funy with your carb is going on, jetting could have something clogged it or the floats could be off.

    Mishimoto or Ford Racing

I purchased the LMR cooling kit (Mishimoto) about a year ago which came with the dual fans, and radiator, all the extras and I was happy with it. It fit well with plenty of clearance (but again I ditched the stock shroud and manual fan). I took a gamble on it as I heard others in the sn95 realm...

What do I test to know if the ECM is switching from open to Closed loop?

0.423v is the default o2 reading above it means rich lower means lean. I personally don't know what you could monitor without datalogging to tell you your actually in CL. And I would assume you would get a signal from the o2's regardless even during the warm up process. Feedback sensors dont...

    65mm vs. 70mm Throttle Body

I usually tend error on the side of caution and best valve for money, as I see it 70mm makes the most sense in your application. The accufab data list cfm based on ci and rpm, what you need to weed through is how you interput the data. Most cars don't spin to spin to 7k especially a daily driver...

    65mm vs. 70mm Throttle Body

Generally a larger t-body will shift your power curve up, the more velocity (smaller t-bodys create more velocity) the more low end torque, the more volume (larger t-bodys have less speed but flow more air) the more hp. Part of matching your intake and t-body size has to do with maintaining an...

    Looking for some ideas

Peronally I think just a cam swap is just a waste on a stock engine, I like to always go with the major 3 Heads/Cam/Intake to see the full benifet. Usually gain 75-100 hp and lose weight up front with aluminum heads. Imo thats your best bet to reach your goal.

    65mm vs. 70mm Throttle Body

Personally I've always liked to match the intake opening size to the throttle body size. In that case I would go with the accufab 70mm, they always made the best quality throttle bodies imo.

    mustang 8.8 gear oil

Brands like Royal Purple have friction modifier in them already and don't need it added, but adding extra won't hurt either. Again whether you need a friction modifier in the first place depends if you have a clutch pack based differential in the back, lockers, helical types don't need it.

    manifold question

The gt40 upper will mate upto a explorer lower, so yes they are interchangable. If I remember right I think the explorer upper is slightly taller as well.

    INJECTOR SIZE

I'm going to assume you have some other mods besides those listed so I'm guessimating by the info you gave 30lbers are suitable and give you room to grow. If your going more extreme in the future like boost or more cubes 42lbs and up are probably more in line but again all depends on mods.

ABACO Digital Mass Air Meter. do they work?

Brother had one and it was a quality piece, ditched it when he went to more boost and a speed density setup and aem ecu. Personally I would buy one but already have a comperable pro-m one. As for c&l I wouldn't buy if I was paid to. Only ones I would consider in the future would be an abaco...

    Aftermarket Rockers???

Probably the best quality are the Harland Sharp roller rockers, unless you want something crazy like a jesel shaft system which is overkill imo.
