    Shelby GT500 sucks !

    I think the issue with this car centers around the gears. It spins the tires all the way through first. Better gears will put more power to the pavement and improve the times.

    87 octane can only be used?

    My car does not run well on 87 octane. I use 89 now and the car runs much better. I was getting slight pinging on 87 and the 89 has cleared that up.

    05 Dash Rattles...TSB Anyone?

    It si the same with the GT. My passenger side dash rattle comes and goes with tempurature and road surface. It's driving me nuts - but turning up the radio solves it. LET ME KNOW WHERE TO JAM THE FOAM!

    Pinging

    The pinging does not occur after shifitng, but rather when I am winding it out, foot to the floor. I was going to try 91 octane without a tune to see if that cures it?

    I have about 7800 miles on my 05 GT and noticed pinging under full throttle - 2500 - 5000 RPM.'m running 87 octane EXXON gas. Air temp was 30 degrees and the engine was fully warmed up. Anyone else notice this? What's the cause and cure?

    Maybe I have not had this problem because I don't drive my Stang in the rain or snow. But, I've washed the car more than a few times and have not ever had the problem.

    I ordered my 05 Stang GT in May 2004. I got it in October 04 - the first one that the dealer got! I paid $1000 over Invoice. I never wanted to be in the position of saying "wow, I wish a coulda had a V-8"!

    My 2005 Stang GT has this feature. Just hold down the unlock button on the key fob and both front windows open. I love this feature!

    trouble

    It's all normal. Get used to it since there is no enginerring fix. Don't worry, the car gets plenty warm anyway! Plenty of heat coming off of that V-8.
