    Shift points after cams

So its basicly a must to get a tune of some kind after the cams then. Otherwise I would be pushing it to redline at that point. Is it mainly the tourqe curve your looking at when deciding the most efficient place to shift? And why do you say sub-par 3.73's are you ever going P/A or just...

    Shift points after cams

Whats up, I just finished paying off my stupid lawyer for a "exhibition of accelleration" ticket I get a month or so ago. The cop gave me a ticket for this all based on sound, guy didn't see me pull off the line (or else he wouldn't have given the ticket) and assumed that I was racing cuz my...

    Shifting Problems...need advice.

Sounds like you have stop set wrong, I have only missed 3rd two or three times since i got it about 6 months ago. They just came out with the new MGW shifter which is supposed to be alot nicer than the pro50, but thats the expensive option. I'd recheck the stops and try loosening them all the...

Exhaust drone/rattle predicament! I need some info and advice!

Well, you definitly wont have to get a whole new catback system. The piping is basicly the same either way. You can just swap the mufflers if you do decide to go that route. As for the rattles, mine do that for me ever since i added the headers and I found my biggest rattle is my ebrake...

    Cam options

With VT stage 1's PTV contact will not be an issue. Great cams all around, probly could do the stage 2's or a custom grind imbetween and be fine as well. Go to Modularfordpowerhouse.com and look at their specials.. They have custom ground VT's for cheap. :flag:

    JBA vs. Ford Racing

The BBK's are worth looking into. I love mine so far, can't give dyno numbers just yet, but the SOTP meter tells me there is more than 2-3hp... I didn't even feel the difference in accelleration with the catback or mid-pipe, but these make it feel like a different car above 2500rpms :flag:

    BBK Tuned Length Headers

Another thing I wanted to ask about..Ever since I put on the new pulleys the car bogs really bad after starting it, only happens once in a while. Well after the headers it seems like it did it even worse. I mean, I didn't drive the car for 5 days, but I hope it doesn't make it do it all the...

    BBK Tuned Length Headers

I have a little leaking, but it isn't at the header, thankfully! Nothing worse than having to start over from scratch. Hopefully I will get the patience to clean up the little leak i have now. Unfortunately, all the shops in town wanted $450+ :bs:

    BBK Tuned Length Headers

Well, I got them in, FINALLY. Thanks to the help and tips many of you gave me they are finally done. Took us about 12 hours total.... This includes breaks, hardware store trips (5) and setup and cleanup as well. That is an insanely rediculous amount of time for a header install, i know, but...

Nitto 555 I'm a big nitto fan, won't ever buy another brand. About to pick up another set of the drag radials, or possibly just the regular 555's at the end of this winter.

proper shifting technique to get the fastest time in ur quarter

this is a great way to gain a tiny bit of time, but you need to be very careful, if you miss a gear you will redline. and it puts alot more stress on the tranny and everything else.. Great if done correctly, learning to do this on your daily driver is a...interesting idea.. Good luck, Oh, and...

Are heads from VT any good?

Never heard anything but great results from VT as a whole. I think modulardepot.com would help you with any questions you have about VT. There is also a ton of threads about them. Search for Stage Heads or something and you will get alot of hits. :flag:

Took the 04 to the track

Well, by that logic then he should avoid DR's as well. Several people on the board have snapped the axles on DR's as well. Just be prepared either way when your jumping from 2.1 60' to a 1.8 or lower. :flag:
