    Dumb question on clearance

    The larger the wheel diameter, the more the appearance the car is too high. The less side wall showing seems to accentuate the gap. I'd recommend staying with 17's if you don't want to drop your car too low and still look good.

    The chip manufactures give instructions on how to clean the contacts, before chip installation. I believe they tell you to you a soft white eraser. I'd check their web sites for instructions.

    First time out, bone stock 01 auto. 14.3 @ 96 mph 2.1 60 ft. Had too much fun to leave it stock though. Never ran it stock again. I did remove the silencer and the right headlamp. Seems I started a trend, at that track. After that other guys started pulling their headlights too.

    When you took the rubber duct off the throttle body, did you take the clamp off and look. They can cut the duct and that will cause a leak.

    It sounds like there's a leak in that area. Could be throttle body gasket or worn throttle shaft. Take the throttle body off and check for leaks as you disassemble.     I'd recommend 3.73's as well. Even on the track the 4.10's aren't much better. I think gas mileage in town actually improved for me with 3.73's and highway mileage is still good if I keep near the speed limit.

    This guys right on. The high idle problem you started out with may have been the start of a vacuum leak that's become worse over time. Spray under the intake as well if you don't find anything on top.

    The 99+ transmissions have several upgrades. I'd suggest going with an 01 or later. They shift better and are stronger. I can't spell dirrable!!!!!!
