    Never had a leaking problem like that. Sometimes get a little water in the windows, but nothing under the seat.

    Heard the exhaust is the way it is to decrease noise levels due to the s/c noise. Federal standards or something. Get a Cold air intake and an exhaust and you are looking at over 400 to the wheels easy.

    There was a guy on www.svtperformance.com who did the eaton swap onto his 99 and it took forever! Do a search over there and I bet you can dig up a lot of info. Seemed like it was a major pain in the butt!

    Mine doesn't come out of adjustment as yours does? Maybe put on a little lock tight to keep it from coming loose. If you do have it adjusted wrong you can cause the throw out bearing to go bad prematurely. If you take of the small plate on the tranny you can check to see that the TOB is off...

    I'm anther guy who doesn't think ford is still "fixing" them for free. You had better call to make sure. You can find nice 99's for as low as 14. In fact there are quite a few over at www.svtperformance.com for sale right not in the 'Market' section. Good luck.

    99 Cobra to Buy or not to Buy ?

    Where did you get your driveshaft? Or did you shorten a d/s from a 98? Go with the 99, but don't pay 18. 16,500 or 17 would be ok with that mileage. The HP problem was fixed with the fix :) Get the vin and call 1 800 ford svt and they can tell you what you need to know.

    Eventutally you can trash the input shaft on the tranny and thus, ruin the tranny.

    Put in a new clutch and TOB at 40K miles or so and it started making noise after about 500 miles on and off. Put on a Firewall adjuster and it seemed to help for awhile, but it is acting up again now at about 50 k miles. Drives me insane.

    Az Exhaust Shops...Anyone?

    I live in Tucson and have used EXHAUST WORKS a couple of different times. In 99 when I had a v6 they made a custom duel exhaust for me for under 400 installed and recently they installed subframes for 75 bucks. I used the shop on broadway and Swan. Guys name is Rich. :nice:

    Make sure the TOB isn't squeeling. It was a big problem with the 99's. How much is the vert?

    5K miles for 16ish. Seems a good deal. Try for 15,500. Personally I like the Rio Red color and would take it over black, but looking at the 45k miles vs 5k and 29k it would be a tough choice for just 700 difference.

    Have you considered picking up a take off 03/04 set up? They will only lowering the car a bit and are a huge improvement.
