    96 Cobra Overheating?

    Ford had a recall on 96 Cobra's, it had to do with the cooling I think they replaced the radiators,also in the back of the blocks there are some heater hoses that were also under recall.

    since your in California you wont find 93 but you could do two things 1. buy a five gal. pale of 103 octane and mix it with some premium gas, or 2. find a unical gas station or one the sells racing gas out of there pump for about 5.50 a gallon and go to the unical web site and look...

    does this seem a little shady?

    the first thing i would do is ask for some dyno #'s and fly down there and put the car on the dyno to see if it's true about the 400+HP. the rear spoiler or the seats shouldnt be the issue. just find out what #'s= the cobra vin code and that would also answer any dought you might have.

    I don't think its a cobra motor since the cobra motors have forged cranks.

    Whats good for upper an lower control arms??

    I'm using the FordRacing upper control arms and I also boxed them up you cant go wrong with them for 70.00 bucks. and on the lower control arms I went with the Kenney Brown.

    Excavating bondo... any easier way?

    the way I removed the bondo that my car had was to use a torch either nap gas or butane and start the heat the bondo up and as its getting hot start to peel it off with a pudy knife.

    High RPM miss 97 cobra

    do you still have the plug wire covers on, if so look at the inside of those covers if you find arc marks on them you need new wires I went with the Nology wire and removed the plugwire covers on mine and sloved the problem.

    the paint is made by B.A.S.F and you could got to a bodyshop supply store and ask for it.

    did you try replacing the U-joints? or maybe the gear wasn't set properly and have to much play in the pinion. or did you check your pinion angel?

    99 Cobra for 12k

    there was a paint defect with the black cars it seem the primer starts to react with the heat from the sun and couses the black paint to split the spits or cracks look like scratches but if you look at it closely you can tell the paint is cracking.

    if this is your first time painting you do not want to start with a metalic base you should just pay someone or take the car to a shop that can paint your car. but if you decide to give it a shot remember to allways keep stiring your paint as your spraying.
