OT: Is Santa a man or Woman?

Like father time, he's got a beard and similarly called father christmas, that pretty much decides it for me. :D The thing about guys getting lost, I don't believe it. He's been doing it for so long, since the world's population was a lot smaller, so he knows every neck of the woods, and...

    Scat Pro-90 Series Seats

How long have these been available? When I looked at Procar thoroughly the Rally were the least aggressive ones they had. These look very nice, especially for the bigger folk, or those who want to get in and out without fuss.

timing chain vs timing gear drive

I've never really heard it (in person anyway) but I'd say imagine a worn out second gear on deceleration (you know the kind of whine) but perhaps quieter and attached to engine rpm, not vehicle speed. I like the whine, but extra noises, especially whines can be seen as worn out noises, and it...

Pretty cool road race early model!

Wow he's doing well. I saw the first shots and thought "Good luck!" but then I noticed more pages, and well, he's pulled it off! Nice work.

Anyone using this new main/rod bearing material?

You can send any bearings to HPC and they'll coat them with a similar oil-retentive low friction coating, probably the same stuff. I'd like to see how much benefit they would give on a street build (tighter fit on the bearings).

DHearne-Pics of your NEW '06 Stang & Ranger

D I'd keep an eye on that black and white character in the first pic, he looks like he's about to relieve himself on a wheel. :D

Curious how much power it takes to get a 67/68's front wheels off the ground?

Man I know I would love to have a car like that!

T5 rebuild question: dog ring or synchronized gears

I guess they don't actually HELP match speed, they just engage and the speed is matched.

T5 rebuild question: dog ring or synchronized gears

Go for the standard synchro'ed helical type if they're all rated for 600hp. Straight cut gears can be made with bigger teeth and so can be stronger, and with more simple meshing they are more efficient. They could probably be thinner for the same power rating as well, making them lighter...

The Reenmachine DOHC '67 Shelby Clone Convertible Progress

How did mounting the rotisserie to the car go? Did you have to drill your own holes or anything like that?

    A "SuperDave" fly-by!

Superdave I have always respected your helpful nature and seemingly limitless reserve of knowledge on all things. It's good to see you posting again, even if it is only every now and then.

    What is a title?

No we don't, the way we handle it is like Eddie Murphy's impression of his father in delirious (or raw, can't remember) - "This is mah house, and if you don like it, get da F out!" LOL No, we have deeds.

    What is a title?

Thank you Reen and KiwiGT, that's the kind of confidence-inspiring what-to-do information I need. I will get in touch with your father at some point, thank you for the connection. So it sounds like a title is like a deed to a house.

    What is a title?

I don't have to convert it, and so I'm not going to. Law permits 30+YO cars to be left original, except lighting, which is minor in relation. I would like to change gears with my left hand, it just seems clunky the other way, but I'd rather the car be not chopped up. See the thing is, there's...

    What is a title?

So will it be likely that someone I buy a classic Mustang off will have the title for it? If not, how can you get one? Thanks for the quick help so far!
  16. Route666

    What is a title?

I know it's not Mustang specific (I think) but I'm from the other side of the planet and when I have bought cars it has been enough to have a piece of paper with seller and buyer details (I put down driver's license numbers too), amount of $, and vehicle identification numbers on it. So I've...

updated finished pics of the stang

Looking good, you must be proud to accomplish something you've desired for so long! Good job. The fuel cap looks like a red aeromotive flush type filler.
