Yeh? What's it do that Solidworks doesn't? It can do FEA, I've seen tools for fluid dynamics and other nifty things. I'm just curious. :nice:

    New TCP Catalog/Products

Ok Cool, thanks. One more question - with the coilover setup (looking at the front) what reason do the coilovers have to be mounted the way they are? I don't know much about shocks, so maybe it is something to do with valving, or stopping debris getting to the piston rod, or something, but if...

Oh and Lino - I like the incorporation of the Shelby drop into the upper arm mount - makes me wonder why it hasn't been done earlier. Also - are you going to develop a rear sway bar for the rear pushrod suspension system. I heard a while back one was in the making but still nothing.

    New TCP Catalog/Products

For what's in the components (materials, processing, and engineering) they're pretty reasonably priced in my opinion. These aren't standard replacement parts. I guess a lot of price misconception comes from not knowing the full depth of any process. As a programmer for a laser cutter, and...

    New TCP Catalog/Products

Good thing you're not into computers and gaming! You upgrade your PC and it will already have been superseded. Also TCP have hood pins and door latches! Looks like they're really expanding their product range.

BOH! I should read more betterer.

    Electrical problems are not sexy

I vote for electrical interferance - you can get a suppressor for the ignition system (or somewhere in the electrics) that gets rid of that.

    331 Supercharged...?

I like DSS's approach - cleanroom, CNC machine for blueprinting - they seem to be very "on the ball".

Oh yeh! That looks sweet! I'm one who like 17s on the 69/70s, and SOME 18s can look ok, but I think your setup is the first one with 19s that looks not only ok, but really good. They don't seem out of place.

What are/did you use to model the suspension and roll cage? I use Solidworks in my job and have started to get keen on building an open wheeler - like a formula 1000 - doing the same sort of thing.

Wow that looks nice. I can't wait to see my dream car in the works like yours. (But I'll have to :() It's such a shame it doesn't stay that clean once you start driving it - I know from experience (damn Harleys...). It's a good thing all the bits that get the dirtiest are underneath so you don't...

    Updated TCP G-Bar triangulated 4-link...

That's what I was thinking - I remember the pushrod system being talked about in terms of racing all the time. Also I hadn't realised you get the subframes and cross brace with the system - I always wondered whether you could get the setup with no mounting point for the torque arm - pretty...

    Updated TCP G-Bar triangulated 4-link...

The progress TCP have made since the handover has been impressive, it's good to see it continuing. I know this has turned into a "poke Lino for info" thread, but I have to ask - Is the original rear coilover system still worth as much in comparison to the new system(s)? In terms of...

Very nice! The candy shots look quite nice, but it looks just as nice in the shots that came out right.

    ALMOST DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful car! I remember a thread on here about 6 months ago (or more) with some photoshops of that style of paint - was that you (original poster) asking about it?

The Reenmachine DOHC '67 Shelby Clone Convertible Progress

Top stuff Reenmachine! Hopefully I'll win the lotto and be able to do something similar soon. Well when I say similar it would involve a classic Mustang anyway... One day, one day...

    HistoricMustang Road Racer Sold!

We recently had a GT HO Falcon go for over half a million dollars over here (at auction). I've seen BOSS 429s online at 200k regularly and one at 400k - not sure if it sold though. Regular imported Mustangs seem to have gone up in price by about 30% too.

    HistoricMustang Road Racer Sold!

At least you're still following your passion Historic! I chose another of my passions (Harleys) over Mustangs first - it seemed like the most suitable thing to do at the time and there were certain things that sort of made the decision for me. It does make me a little sad though, I'm not going...

Amazing what a little paint can do!

Looks like you need some bigger rims Adam! Haha but seriously getting the body done is surely the biggest thing you can do to see that the project is still moving along.
