    THEN AND NOW

No clearance issues at all. I actually got it because of clearance issues with the factory hood hitting the front corner of the typhoon intake. It's really surpising how much more clearance there is, really happy with it.

    paint question/ exhaust

Macco won't remove the lamps & trim unless you pay them extra to do it. That's one of te wasys they keep their cost down. They'll just mask off the lamps & trim. Even with the best msker on the planet, you will most likely get some overspray on them if you don't take them out.

    paint question/ exhaust

Maaco can be fine. I've had cars painted there. I'd recommend disassembing the car your self. Take out the headlamps, taillamps, etc. Just don't go for the bottom of the line paint job. The middle of the line paints they have have an intergrated clear coat but I'd suggest that you pay to have...

    Totaled mustangs and Insurance

Call your agent & tell them what you've done to your car to make sure that the aftermarket parts are covered. Your company only has to cover what they insure (most policies will allow for up to $1500 in undisclosed aftermarket equipment). If another company is at fault they owe you for fair...

Just got in accident..body guys - need opinions

If your going through the other guys company they have to reimburse you for your aftermarket equipment (note: they will need receipts & they will factor in depreciation). They have to pay to return you to preaccident condition. So if your Mustang is blown, they owe you for a blown mustang. If...

Just got in accident..body guys - need opinions

I'm an insurance appraiser. Depending on the laws inyour state, buying the car back could be a hassle. I PA it would satill be issued a salvage title & getting the car retitled as reconstructed can be a PITA. There are a few things you can do to help the car not be totaled. As stated earlier...

    GAS SAVING TIP

Also don't forget the Tornado to get rid of air turbulence going into your intake. It creates a swirling vortex of air you know. The infomercial says it works to reduce gas mileage & you can feel the increased power :rlaugh:

    GAS SAVING TIP

This has been on here before. They tested it on Mythbusters on a carb'd & fuel injected car & it didn't work. I think it actually hurt gas mileage a little.

    Professional products throttle body

Yeah, I have the intake & TB on mine & it works fine. It did stick open when I first installed it but I just replaced the spring & every thing works fine.

    Wet Sanding

I just got my car back from paint & it has some orange peel, not bad but I would like the finish as smooth as possible. Is wet sanding hard to do myself or would I be better taking it to a professional. It's important to note that I have no experience at this & no equipment (buffer). Not to...
