    GT40 vs. GT40P

when I was on the market for headers...I was told that you cannot have stainless steel...and ceremic at the same time...due to some sort of chemical change in properties...I'm not big on chemistry so I don't know if that was BS or not...I spoke with some rep at Bassani... BTW: I have called...

    I Was Owned By Ls1

regardless what everyone still says here...LS1 are still fast stock...and moded...it will take more than a set of gears to beat one...As stated earlier...it will take a nice H/C/I combo to beat one...

    I Was Owned By Ls1

what? and how exactly do you plan on keeping up with an LS1 if you don't do a H/C/I swap...? no boost either...I would like to know...I guess I'm doing somthing wrong...or LS1's around here are modded...lol

    Cobra or GT40 intake?

definately buy some ARP bolts for the intake...the stock ones will stratch once you take them off and will contine to loosen up after that...get some felpro intake gaskets...1250's should be more than enough...no need for O-rings on the injectors...get a new PVC and new screen...install is...

    I Was Owned By Ls1

That would be the lowest RWHP you would need...BUT to achieve 280RWHP...you still have to do H/C/I...and a good driver...

    I Was Owned By Ls1

Don't take this as a personal attack or anything...but for you to say that LS1's are easy to keep up with is just mind boggling for me...Those cars dyno 310-320RWHP...you need at least that much to hang with one...assuming the Mustang is full weight and not some crazy 4.56 gears...but like...

Getting rid of the TF street heat, and goin Cobra

You're an idiot...the point of the test was to swap just the intakes NOT the whole combo...stick to the subject...ALL the intakes rather they were short runner or long runner used the same cam...heads, etc...How is it that other intakes did better in the long runner category...? Especially...

how much should I mill the heads to go from 64cc to 54cc?

well...as much as I preach to do things right the first time...its time to bite my tounge...I have an oil leak from one of my heads...I purchsed them used and didn't bother to flat mill them...and now one of them is leaking oil from underneath the head gasket...no oil is getting into my...

I need fuel and air....help me

the ideal injector for the HP comes out to be 26#...you can get away with 24#...30# won't hurt either and you can run with the stock fuel pressure of 38-40psi...UNDER 75mm TB will be more than enough...If you don't have a TB yet the 70mm will work...if you have a 65mm TB...that will work...

Flow difference from ported Cobra vs Performer

I see you are running AFR's...I run ported lower GT-40 intake with a Cobra upper on my 165's...the car pulls hard from 3000-6000RPM...you won't be disappointed...I had Tmoss port mine...

Flow difference from ported Cobra vs Performer

assuming both will get identical port jobs...well that virtually becomes the same as stock vs stock...the Performer may outflow the Cobra by 10cfm...if that...not enough to notice...get whatever is a cheaper find...both good intakes...with lots of potential...

    Best intake kit to get???

I concur with those that say...Performer...or the GT-40 style intakes...once you feel you need more power...simply port the lower intake...you'll have the best of both worlds...better than short runner intakes low end and plenty of high RPM pull...(6000RPM)...BIGGER ISN'T BETTER...

Getting rid of the TF street heat, and goin Cobra

Getting rid of the TF street heat, and goin Cobra

You know...this is a very ignortant thing to say...especially from you. I see no neccessity dynoing a car with a mild H/C/I set up...nothing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a timing light won't do...that is if you know how to use them...We're not talking about supercharger's here or...

Getting rid of the TF street heat, and goin Cobra

You're the joker here guy...run what you've brung! That seems to be the word out on the street...that's why owning a Mustang is such a thrill...nobody ever has the same combo...I'm not a brand loyal person...I can give credit where credit is due but than again at the same time I know quality...

Whats The real deal with the gt-40/ cobra inatke

I have both of these intakes...I had really good results with them...both the uppers are capable of flowing above 250cfm...the lowers are restrictive but when ported, are quite nice...its hard to beat OEM quality and engineering! Beware of the new Cobra...its a knock off version...I saw it and...
