Getting rid of the TF street heat, and goin Cobra

NO I just don't car to explain...plus I'm not an engineer...Have you ever held the upper TFS street heat intake in your hands before? If so you might have seen that clever design TFS engineers had when they made the cross section 15inch long...not too mention the way air has to traval over...

Getting rid of the TF street heat, and goin Cobra

lol...you're too funny...re-read that article...only thing that was change out of the whole combo were the intakes...That was one of the best comparison I've seen...if you've seen better please share...This article concludes that the TFS intakes lack low end...as comared to the GT-40 style...

Getting rid of the TF street heat, and goin Cobra

who are you and what do you want? And yes I think that running a stock cam with aftermarket heads is definately NOT taking the heads to their full potential...and what does that exactly have to do with this thread? You even have a Mustang? Ever do work to it...YOURSELF? You're very...

Ported Perfromer RPM? or just get RPMII?

Yeah...it would be an interesting race...as long as your friends cars are infact 306's...I'm suppose to dyno the car as soon as we get done with my buddies 4.6L head swap...so hopefully I'll have some results on the kind of power the beast is making... I don't know all the AIM names of...

HolleHolley SysteMAX II Engine Systems for 5.0L Ford

I never understood...how good that kit is...the intake is rather big for a 302...the cam is rather small...and the heads...well needless to say are not one of the most popular ones either...but yet people are getting some nice times...Even the trickflow package does well...but than again...its...

Ported Perfromer RPM? or just get RPMII?

Y don't you drive down over here...? there's a track 25 min away. Plus I hear there's too many vegaterians in NY... Hey now...don't be knockin on my Cobra intake powered 306...Tmoss ported it...so you're gonna have to deal with him... BTW: my AOL IM suspended my account...I guess if...

Getting rid of the TF street heat, and goin Cobra

Just like I thought...you're defending something you have...I too would be upset if all of a sudden someone told me the truth. Why don't you call one of those people that you mentioned earlier and ask them on what they think of the TFS street/track heat intakes...and see what they...

Ported Perfromer RPM? or just get RPMII?

I guess Ed gives different advice to people in Chicago than he does to people in NY...YOU guys must have some thin air up there requiring the bigger intakes... I'd like to know how a ported Performer competes with an RPM II intake...?

Getting rid of the TF street heat, and goin Cobra

I take it that you didn't read the article tha I posted earlier...AND even though I'm not a fan of AFM...I think that article is the closest comparison that I've yet seen...my props to Rick. The only difference between Mike and I is that I go by personal experience in all of my examples...

Ported Perfromer RPM? or just get RPMII?

If it even matters...I would port the Performer...with the right cam the car will pull hard from 3000 to 6000 RPM...do you plan on shifting higher...? you have money invested into your bottom end? You don't need an intake that outflows the heads...You need an intake that provides the constant...

Getting rid of the TF street heat, and goin Cobra

Well Mike...I wouldn't know how fast I can be with my Performer...since I decided to keep the Cobra...but for *****s and giggles I just may end up putting it on to see what they hype is about...or NOT...I really don't care...But lets keep this fair...my 3600lbs vert can only do so much with a...

    Cobra intake or Edelbrock RPM

and how many intakes have you flowed to back up your statement...? FUNNY how all the test on new intakes still compare the "ancient" GT-40 style intake... Yeah...the typhoon is a real good idea...lets get a rip off intake with rough casting and poor casting quality to get the "even flow...

Getting rid of the TF street heat, and goin Cobra

I will be the first to say that the TFS intakes suck...(except for thte TFS R)...with just an intake swap...from a Cobra to a TFS street heat...the car lost low end...500RPM or so...,However, I don't necessarly think that this is all of your problems...check the compression as stated...

ok, here's one.. stock cam'd car w/ 1.72 rockers SLOWER than w/ stock rockers

You can't go by that alone since you're not only working with #1 piston...each valve needs to "just close" inorder to be tightend down...

ok, here's one.. stock cam'd car w/ 1.72 rockers SLOWER than w/ stock rockers

that is the problem...once the intake is closed than the exhaust is open...you always want to do the one that is closed...crank over after each rotation...

ok, here's one.. stock cam'd car w/ 1.72 rockers SLOWER than w/ stock rockers

another possibility is that you torqued them too much causing the valves not to open close all the way...check your rocker arm geometry again...hope this helps...
