    you'd be fine with the 1.7...,however, if you could spend $150 more and get a custom cam...that would definatley take a better adventage of those AFR's...

    stock vs stock...afr 165 and TW's are virtually the same...Have those AFR's been ported even more after they were CNC'd? BTW: most AFR's already come for the stud mount rockers...at this point if you can get them for a $1000 get them...I like mine but to say if they are better than TW's...well...

    Yeah...I got the notch running...and in all honesty...I'm not sure how I feel...I was expecting more low end from AFR combo than my GT-40X combo but it pulls hard from 3000-6000...the car is fast no doubt but so is the GT-40X combo...the only difference one is in a notch...the other in a GT...

    you're joking right? a new performer is $499.95...a new Cobra is $399.95 and if you want it polshed than you pay more...used...I got my used Performer for $300.00...I also have a Cobra that I wouldn't sell for less than $275...but than again we can argue all day on how much intakes are...

    I concur...to add I would go with 4.10 gear since it an AOD...depending on which cam you choose from your list...you will need a TQ converter of 3000RPM advertised duration to hit your 2000-2500 actual RPM stall speed...

    on a mostly stock car porting the stock lower benefits more than purchasing a $500 intake...new or used you are still spending more than you would if you had the lower ported...It's not worth spending all the money on a new intake just to gain 15HP...

    that number you are referring to started out in 92 where FORD switched from the Borg Warner T-5 to the Tremec T-5...some of the 92 will still have an old casting but will have a tag on the tailshaft with similar numbers...all you have to do is get those numbers and call Tremec to verify that...

    the problem is...that the notch is so rare now that even the converted ones arn't frowned upon anymore...this is especially true in the midwest...if its a notch its automatically worth $1500 more than the rest...MAKE sure the body has no rust...you can always replace the interior but bodyworks...

    OK...here is my input...I like the heads...you'll like them too...Ford Racing has upgraded springs with the seat pressure of 135 for $70 when you buy through Summit...that means that you can get a nice custom cam to match those AFR's...throwing an E-cam in there will certinally not do them...

    IMO flowmaster has the best sound...I did hear MAC and was impressed as well...as far as quality..well you get what you pay for...Flowmaster doesn't last as long as Magnaflow or Bassani but than again its not that expensive...I would go with the Flowmaster 2 chamber...You won't be disappointed...

    if you're keeping the stock heads and cam...get either the stock lower ported, explorer intake, Cobra intake or the GT-40...all the rest are just too big for your combo...My 65mm TB works great on two of my 300RWHP + cars...
