    from what i understand, not shipping from tremec (mexico) until around november 30. other than the splines/ratios, the 500/600 added provisions for multiple shifter locations. thats really about it other than maybe some production-line upgrades/tweaks/cost cutting.

    That 3 hole pattern has been probably used since the 60s, the thermactor just drilled thru an existing hole in the pattern. As others have said if that hole (two in the pattern are 7/16-14 with one 3/8-16 in a non smog head, smog head I think all are 7/16 and the thermactor on the the front...

    The Dakota stuff I think is really intended for swaps (coyote, holley efi, megasquirt, stupid chevy stuff, etc). It is way more accurate than the sticker (at least the tech will be) and for us pre-late 89 guys that only have an 85mph speedo it may be a better option than finding a late 89...

    If it wasn't a $150 premium over the standard Dakota setup it would be more worth it, and also be on more equal footing to something like an autometer/Florida set or even the 7" holley dash that can do a lot more than this thing(especially if you have their efi)

    negative, same driveshaft for t5/aod/tko/4r70w, the later two just need different yokes. this is the same length (actual overall package dimensions other then corners basically being rounded off) as a tko/3550.
