    MSD 6 Box

Instructions only say "Switched 12V" I also used the original coil wire, although the ol' home depot truck doesn't have a Rally Pac :D so I can't help with that. I stepped up to the Digital 6 Plus as it is not that much more expensive and has start and triggered retard, as well as a two...

Should I worry about baffleless valve covers?

On the baffled grommets: The Moroso versions are noticeably deeper than the FRPP ones, so if your valve cover hole is positioned so that about a 1.5 inch grommet will clear the internals, I am convinced they are most effective. In my case, the Valvecover is tall, and the hole places the...

And he has traction control, and state of the art suspension. Probably had the air on too. They have about 500 horses and do mid 4 second to 60.

    Dynomax Super Turbos?

You did not say if you want it quieter or not. Ultra Flow (or Ultra Flow welded) are an option if you want it as loud as it is now, but with a distinctively diffrent tone. Super tirbos will probably be a bit quiter, just depends what you are after.

$5000. Was it a good deal?

Looks pretty clean, bet the asking price would have been double if it were an 8. Clifford has (used to anyway) some stuff to hot the 200 up a bit if you like. Everyone at school thought my 250ci 64.5 (swapped a 250 for the 170) was an 8 due to the clifford headers and duals. It was a long...

    Cam: hydraulic, solid, or roller?

I suspect not. If anything it will be a change of tone, I don't think it will have any "cam" sound at idle. For such a small cam, I agree that the step to roller isn't warrented. :twocents:

Should I worry about baffleless valve covers?

I had to use some unbaffled pentroofs on my 390 to clear the Ersons. Moroso and Ford racing both sell "baffled" grommets for the PCV and push in type breathers. You can get them at Summit Racing. No problems with mine so far.

    67 Mustang 4bbl conversion

If it won't idle below 3000, my first guess is massive vac leak. As for the noise,

more on my crappy dyno runs. Advice solicited

I think the fuel pump is probably the problem over 5400, I think Carter makes a nice, somewhat correct looking unit that puts out 110GPH, however. The Pro Billet for my FE came with the heavy silver springs and a 21-degree stop installed. If you still have the silver springs, you probably do...

narrowed down to 2 cam choices, convine me which to buy (solid or hyd)

10’s are a real lofty goal. That is super fast for anything approaching a "Street Car". I am all for your decision to go with Lunati over Comp, but I think that particular Lunati is a huge mistake if you have any intention of putting lots of street miles on the car. I think you are going to...

narrowed down to 2 cam choices, convine me which to buy (solid or hyd)

So it is a 41008LUN "SOLID, Rough idle. Good for hot street car w/ 4-speed or short track car. Needs increased C.R." (3800-7000) That cam is a HUGE jump from the two that you first asked about. From the number it appears to be one of the old UltraDyne grinds. The story is...

    Booster Problems

Does it have a large booster like this: or a small one like this: If it is a large one then perhaps a call to some of the brake companies like SSBC or Master Power would turn up a small booster that works. Short of that, the manual brakes might be your only option. What...

    Cam kit suggestions

I agree completely with the possible caveat that the tech support is only as good as the information that you provide and the person that you talk to when you call. You need to honestly access your needs and arm yourself with knowledge to ask the right questions, in other words, be an educated...

    Girlfriend wants new car

The new 3 is coming out in a few months (if it isn't already enroute to dealers) which means the current three will depreciate like a stone. You'll lose at least 10,000.00 the second the new one comes out. I'm sure the new one will look like ass like everything this new idiot designed with...
