    I switched to 85/140. Quieted it up nicely. I've found Torco High Performance to be the best. Had to pull the axles last week and got a good look at the gears after 6000 miles and they look as good as the day I put them in.

    Are you sure the distributor was seated all the way down into the block? The 85 dissy has a steel gear and shouldn't wear. As far as I know the 85 and 86 block is the same, so the 85 dissy should fit. Just an idea, call MSD and see if the distibutor shaft is the same length for those two years...

    Have you checked the area around and under the M/C? Any paint being eaten away? If so you have a leak. Also, have you tried just bleeding the M/C?

    Rearend question!

    Yep. With the exception of the Bronco and F-150 rear ends all the 8,8 axles will be 28 spline and will interchange. (Until you get into the later years 1998? and up) Its very easy, just takes a little time and can be a little messy. Nothing stains more then old gear lube. Get a manual and follow it.

    KYB Non-adjustable = JUNK !!! Had a set on last summer for three months and couldn't take it any more. Pulled them and installed a set of Koni's. Like night and day. So I have a set of Non-adjustable KYB's for sale if any one want them. Cheap!

    1 vote for cam. Not sure if you want to go with the E-Cam if your plannnig on juice. Stage 1 would be a better choice.
