    some reading material

I'd probably be real un happy if I was an 80 Corvette owner. But I've made the point before that nobody really had any real muscle during that period. At least we have a good base to work with. Later :spot:

    what can I do???

Not being a tremendously forgiving or understanding person I'd either break his face. I realize this is not a politically correct solution to the situation. I admit I'm not a person who forgets and forgives. GOOD LUCK :spot:

    1 ton dually?

I will, at least for the immediate future. The rig needs a complete interior redo and from the gauges that didn't function some electrical upgrading also. Its not a bad looking unit with the fibreglass + cab addition, lined pickup bed and stick out fenders. It's definately bigger than my F150...

    1 ton dually?

OK, kind of what I thought. Since I can't leave well enough alone I will probably swap out the front spindles for the more conventional type that I can get a decent wheel for and convert the rears to super singles. If I thought that I could get away with it [wife] I would probably try to lower...

    1 ton dually?

Just picked up an E350 dually. Why do they change the front rotors and wheels when attached to a dually rear end? The std front wheel and single rear tires are rated for the same load. How about changing the front over to a more conventional wheel rotor/wheel combination and a super single...

    Strut rods..

If you decide to use one of the eleminator kits I would suggest looking at beefing up the frame and crossmember as they were not designed to take the new loading that will be imparted on them. Later :spot:

    Dream Wheel

Good thing you didn't have any money...they won't fit Our wheel pattern is 4 on 4.25 or 4 on 108 if you like millimeters. The early Mustang he is referring to is real early and like Falcon and I think limited to the 6 cylinder versions Later :spot:

What do YOU guys think my car is worth?

My opinion is probably slanted but....I would start a about $10,000. The condition that the car appears to be in and the spares included its worth it. Mine is not a resto but if I couldn't get $6000 I wouldn't sell it. [not close to half of the investment]. I'm sorry that you've had to come...

    T-5 Conversion

Ans to last Q. NO the shifter hole will still have to be elongated to install the T5 even on the M II bellhousing. I have the T5 in mine w/ the M II bellhousing. I used the M II bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, disc. The bellhousing will need the trans input shaft pilot hole...

    Holy header headaches Batman!

Everybody wants bigger tubes......right? Bigger is better...wroooong If you want some interesting reading pick up the May issue of 5.0 Mustangs & Super Fords. They ran a series of tests, on shorties and long tube. Their test engine was a 347 [15% larger than 302]. Their header sizes were...

    Holy header headaches Batman!

With regard to HP it's all gas velocity which is a combination of displacement + RPM's = air flow.......bigger isn't always better. [efficiency enters into it also] 77CobraII .... try no exhaust gasket!! just apply a ring of "High Temp" sealant on the header, reinstall and let sit for 8-12...

    King Cobra parts question

Over $1k is alot but if the stuff is new repop it would probably be priced there. If it happens to be NOS a real restorer would probably give a bunch more. Remember we have guys here that will pay $400-$500 for a NOS bumper [not me] but others. Good luck in your retail endevors. Later :spot:

    American Racing Rims

Some will. I had a set on mine for awhile. I needed a 1/4" spacer so everything would fit and clear. I'm sure that it will depend on style, backspace and choice of tires. If they are free what do you have to loose. Get them take off a front and rear wheel, slip them on and take lot of...

    Has anyone ever told you..

CoolWheels Use care when characterizing [old fart]. I might take umbrage with that comment. Aside from that I feel it's a mater of taste and a little knowledge. It is surprising how little the "classic" and "5.0" people know about our cars. I've even had recycling yard people ask me how...

    Cleavland In a II?

Warts headers look just like the ones presently on mine. I just picked up a set of tubes that utilize a motor plate instead of the stock motor mounts. No room for the 1.88 diameter tubes. These things are huge I hope they fit....should know sometime this summer Later :spot:
