    I think it could look kind cool done right but.......... Stock weight distribution is 58/42 [assumeing 3000#] 1740/1260. If you move the front wheels 6" it will change this to 54.5/45.5 or 1638/1362. Awfull lot of work for 100# If its weight distribution AL. heads, intake, waterpump...

    Coil springs

    My info says for a 1978 the front coil is 9.0 tall [compressed] x 3.5 dia and a .57 wire dia. The free length not listed. Rate is listed as 300#/in or 350#/in HD. This info is in the MVMA Specs listed on mustangii.net There was only the one set of dimensions even though they listed 2 rates...

    If the shop is any good they can whip you up a "y" of any size in nothing flat. The guy I deal with makes all his own "y" & "X" pipes. He is cheaper than buying a commecially available unit. later

    You will probably get better help from the 5.0 [FOX] forum as they were based on the the Fairmont chassis. Almost all suspension components are interchangeable. Good luck Merry christmas
