    Codes 311, 314 throwing a C/E Light

311 and 314 came up because you removed the smog pump, so air isn't getting pumped past some of the emissions controls. To permanently get rid of those codes, you'll need to get a chip for the engine computer that eliminates those checks. There are some other DIY ways of eliminating the codes...

    95 cobra occasional hard starts

I had a similar problem, but in my case it turned out to be corrosion under the distributor cap. Worked fine when cold, but when warm it didn't want to start. A new cap & rotor fixed the issue.

DOUBT - 95 Mustang GT hoses

Agreed, they give no real advantage over rubber hoses. But you can get them in different colors, so it's one way to pretty up the engine bay. I bought a kit to replace my vacuum lines, you can see one in red in the upper-left corner of this pic.

    5w-20 or 5w-30? doesn't matter, right?

    Yup, created by Reddit users.

    5w-20 or 5w-30? doesn't matter, right?

Good to know someone on this forum is older than me. :D There's a Mustang Discord I'm on where most of the folks on there are in their 20's, and I've been nicknamed "Mustang Grandpa". :nonono:

    t5 swap

That's only if OP's T5 is from a Fox and he's putting it in an SN-95. It's definitely something for OP to look for if he hasn't bought a T5 yet. A few things to know about the swap: * You can re-use your transmission crossmember, they're identical on all 94-95 Mustangs. I dropped a Cobra V8 &...

DOUBT - 95 Mustang GT hoses

Careful of buying silicone hoses. Some of the vacuum hoses are too thin and can collapse when driving, and thus can cause a lot of problems. If you're talking about silicone coolant hoses, those should be fine. Goodyear used to sell a blue silicone coolant hose kit, though it seems to be...

    95 5.0 bogging/ hesitating SOLVED

If you're getting the same codes that keep coming back, you should fix those because they could be masking the actual problem. If you have any O2 sensor codes, then you probably have bad O2's. The computer ignores a lot of sensors when you mash the gas pedal (Wide Open Throttle, or WOT), so if...

Does the 95 5.0 dash harness pnp to 3 8's?

Absolutely correct! But OP was asking about the dash harness, and not the engine harness.

Does the 95 5.0 dash harness pnp to 3 8's?

Well @Turbo_Charged_95 you would be incorrect. I've dropped a 95 Cobra drivetrain into a 3.8 shell, and have been driving it for more than 10 years. To answer your question, all 1994 and 1995 dashboards are identical - it's how Ford managed to save money in those years. You can have a wiring...

1995 Cobra Ignition and Running Issues

Glad to be of help. Please post back here once you fixed the issue, and what fixed it. It's always nice to know the end result.

1995 Cobra Ignition and Running Issues

Performance Distributors used to sell TFI modules for 94-95 5.0 engines; I have one in my Cobra now. Beyond that, I would recommend spending the money for a Motorcraft TFI. I took a look at the Summit page you linked to, and it appears to be a new unit. It's possible the PIP inside was a...

1995 Cobra Ignition and Running Issues

Removing the SPOUT stops the computer from advancing the timing. Is the summit distributor a rebuilt one, or did they use brand new parts? Rebuilt dizzys re-use the PIP, and they rarely work well for long. I would check inside the dizzy for any gray powder or anything worn. What brand are...

    Interior heater ac question

On 94 cars, it's a small black vacuum line that leads from the firewall on the passenger side all the way over to a vacuum tree on the driver's fender. If that hose is broken or cracked, the vents won't work. It's a common failure on our cars.

Engine Need Help With Vacuum Lines

The very small line feeds vaccuum to the HVAC system in the car. With that line unhooked, air will only blow through the defrost vents (the ones by the windshield). The line goes from a vaccuum distribution block on the driver's fender to a hole in the firewall on the passenger side.

Need Help with new 5.0 Purchase

Whoops, never meant to imply OP should just pull the bulb. I wanted to bring it to OP's attention, in case the previous owner pulled the bulb so he can replace it and properly fix the issue.

Need Help with new 5.0 Purchase

I'll answer what I know, and I'm sure others will pitch in. 1. The header bolts can work loose, causing an exhaust leak. Sometimes they can be loose enough to turn with your fingers. Torque for the header bolts is 26-32 ft.lbs. 2. The lining inside the clutch cable can wear out after a...

    Electrical Speedometer way off

Gear ratios for the VSS should be the same between Foxes and SN95s. There is a plastic gear on the VSS, and it is spun by a gear inside the transmission. The VSS tells the computer tells the computer how fast it's rotating, and the computer sends the signal to the speedometer. You use a...

    94/95 V6 to V8 Eng Swap ?

Re-did my research on the pump, and it is different for the V6 and Gt. But the V6 pump is the same one on the 90-93 GT's, so that might be what I remembered.
