    I need wheel alignment specs

I also wouldn't use the stock specs on a car with those wheels/tires.

    Wheel strength

I have 6 TTiis. Been all over the place with them. Been down the drag strips with them. Been under a tractor trailer with them. The wheels have never given me any trouble.

please help me before i buy a 73 fast back.

The car will carry a premium...as all cars of that age do on the Island because of the cost to get one from the main land out to you.

65 Mustang 17 inch wheel question

If it were me....I would run 235 45 17 all around. You aren't going to gain much with the 245 in the rear versus the 235. If you run -1 degree on the alignment with the 17x8 4.75 with your shelby mod and an adjustable strut rod you should be able to run them in the front without even rolling...

    Leaf Spring Relocation Question

I run my 275 drag radials on 8 inch wheels. I still use the 255s on 8 inch wheels for the street...the contact patch is that same as the 275 when they are on an 8 inch wheels so unless I am dragging and need the benefit of the softer compound I'm gaining anything on the street by slapping a...

    Leaf Spring Relocation Question

After I put the 3 link in I was able to get 275s to fit much better to the point that I could drive them on the street if I wanted to. I have a little uneven car (my one wheel well is wider by almost an inch than the other and the rear wasn't quite centered. With the 3 link I was able to...

    Leaf Spring Relocation Question

With a little work you can run those 275s without a full spring relocation.

    Wheel fitment...

I agree with you to put wheels that fit on the car...simply letting you know options not the pros/cons :D

    Wheel fitment...

I would think that you could run a 18x8 wheel with 4.75 backspacing without a single issue. 245 35 18. In terms of finding wheels.... You can order wheels with custom offset to achieve the backspacing you need or buy off the shelf and then spend a couple hundred additional in bolt in adapters...

    rear suspension debate..

I won't wade in too deep here since I've never used a t-arm. However in own experiennce my 5 leafs and traction masters alone where never able to keep my rear end locked down solid. I push the limits with tire width on my car so any side to side movement of my rear was easily evident and there...

    rear suspension debate..

Maybe I am missing something in what you are trying to say; even a leaf spring setup with dul-alum bushing will never be as effective in keeping the rear centered on turns than a watts or a pan-hard. I ran a Watts for years with my 5 leaf rear setup prior to upgrading to a 3 link that...

    65 Rear Suspension Questions

Just a data point note....going from a 2.5 inch tapered tube housing to a 3 inch tube housing will lower the car .25 inch if all else stays the say. If you change springs, spring rates, shocks, etc...well then it can be tough to track.

    rear suspension debate..

Came from EVM, they closed up shop about 10 months ago though. They still have all the designs and might come back. As for change...no I like it.

    rear suspension debate..

I run a 3 link in my 65. Before that I ran a 5 leaf setup with mid-eye springs and traction masters. Going to the 3 link improved my 1/4 drag times while at the same time signifcantly improving my ride quality and improving my manuverability...
