    Exhaust Muffler Hanger Bolt Torque

That's getting a little obsessive. Back in the day before we had manuals, we just torqued bolts by size and thread pitch. Just decently and sensibly tight is fine here; it's not a main cap. A bolt this size and coarse pitch, meh, about 30-40 lbs/ft.

    Drivetrain clunk/clack

The driveshaft makes the most racket under there but, the clutch can make noise on engagement, too. I'd take it in and have the issue documented. Ask the dealer for an NVH form and fill it in with the best information you have. Then take the SA out for a ride and show him/her the sound you are...

Electrical Can I swap in an Electronics package screen?

It's doable but, I don't think the cabling'll ll be lying there just waiting for you to plug it in, you'd have to DIY. It would be a challenge. Your Ford dealer would likely tell you to pound sand if you brought them a used tech screen and told them to put it in. The screen does alot more than...

Replacing UCA and Mount in '12GT

Sure that ain't the only reason? You did make this job sound all dramatic when it isn't.

Replacing UCA and Mount in '12GT

Really that was the only place I could use the impact, given the tight confines. Anything else had to come off with a breaker bar and muscle. It wasn't that hard. The big bolt is the biggest barrier. If one can overcome that, everything else is pretty easy.

Replacing UCA and Mount in '12GT

You don't need to pull DS and exhaust to mount this, that's ridiculous. At worst you might have to drop the tank straps and the panhard mount for a little more access. just wear hearing protection if you fire up the windy gun to take off the big bolt in the interior, like I did. I banged that...

Replacing UCA and Mount in '12GT

Drop the two bolts holding the Panhard up and life gets easier. I got my Roush upper and mount installed, assembled, without removing anything but, other designs might not be as easy.

    pinon angle

-2 is the max I'd try to hit on a 3 link like this, on the road. Any more is race car stuff and can do damage over time to the u-joints. 5 down is A LOT, more like hotchkiss (leaf spring) rear setting.

    4.6 vs 5.0 Perf - Sound Diff ??

What I like is also, insane power is available through the aftermarket easily. 600-ish road HP is completely reasonable for this car. You couldn't get 600 out of that boat-anchor 4.6 without a complete race build and gigantic power adder. The 4.6 stock block is hitting the self-destruct at the...

    4.6 vs 5.0 Perf - Sound Diff ??

Don't feel bad, axle hop is still terrible...it's been a Mustang trademark since 64-1/2 so, why should now be any diff? At least with the SRA it's easily cured with some better control arms. The only tune with real warranty support is Procal from Ford Motorsport. They cover the remainder of...

    4.6 vs 5.0 Perf - Sound Diff ??

My '88 5.0 was modded from the headlight to the taillights and the new 5.0 smoked it in stock form. I will put a real drag slick on this car for next year, a touch of rear suspension work to control the axle hop (upper and lower control arms) and there's a pretty fair shot of this car hitting...

    4.6 vs 5.0 Perf - Sound Diff ??

You try out a new 5.0 and you'll dump your Foxstang like a girlfriend who cheated on you with your best friend. A tick over 4 seconds to 60 stock, 12 second quarters as delivered, quiet, smooth riding, actual brakes, suspension and chassis rigidity, plus good gas mileage in the bargain. Car is...

    Wheels-Tires 94-04 rims swap onto 2011?

they'll physically fit but the offset is different. All this means is you won't be able to bolt quite as wide a tire onto those rims as you might if you had the the 05+ backspacing. Not really an issue with snows. Anything factory 16"+ will bolt up no problem also.

    Question for ProCal Tune owners?

Then you'll like this tune. It makes the 5.0 feel like a V8 and it boosts mileage massively. Mine went up around 3-4 mpg city over stock. my car's ridonculusly funny with 3.73s, MT and this tune. I can pretty much hole shot anything that's 2WD. 0-60 is a wee tick over 4 seconds. Best 1/4 so far...

Drivetrain New to me 2011 5.0 6 Speed hard to sift into 6th

Yep, sucks the MT-82 pretty much enforces a remote shifter, given it's small size dimensionally. The close relative of the MT-82 in the Supra, for example, has no such requirement for careful technique.

    Drivetrain Shifting issue

Short throws can exacerbate or create grinding if there's anything marginal in the synchros in the trans; if you're interested in avoiding that, long term. You can do pretty well with a solid ball shift knob and a good shifter bracket, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the results from those...

Drivetrain New to me 2011 5.0 6 Speed hard to sift into 6th

Depends....6th is a huge overdrive so, to match revs on upshift, you have to slow the shift down to allow the car to drop revs sufficiently to avoid a clutch lurch from the mismatched shaft and road speed. This may be what you're experiencing. Also, this is a finger and open palm shift car...

    Automatic to manual

Actually it's alot more straightforward going that way. trans, bellhousing, clutch, shifter, pedal box, driveshaft, crossmember, various bits and bobs and some way to deal with the inevitable check engine lights. Ideally you'd want a manual car PCM (computer) and figure the wiring, pinouts or...
