    I had my stang in the shop a few weeks ago and while it was there I had them adjust my timing to 14* since I didn't have a timing gun. I've been running 87 in it since then, mid grade, and a few days ago my dad drove it and filled the tank with 85. I don't hear any ping and there aren't any...

    Replacement fuel pump

    i'm not the greatest person in this area, but a 255lph pump should be fine. from what i know, people reccomend putting a 255lph if your stock pump goes out and also when you add a turbo or blower, so i would say go with it.

    i don't get how i've missed this over and over but i just noticed it missing last night. the wire connector that goes to the coolant drain bottle cap. is it bad that this is missing? i check coolant levels regularly but what does this really do? thanks in advance... :shrug:

    i just go to the local autozone, carquest or napa to get my parts. i needed a camshaft position sensor for a chyrsler, the dealership wanted $60 for it, napa wanted $50, got it at autozone for $34. rockauto wants $40 plus shipping :/ if the autozone out here doesn't have a part they'll either...

    thanks for all the help guys! i got a "sway bar repair kit" which is a pair of end links from napa this morning. only problem was it's a universal kit and the bolts are 1" shorter than the stock one i pulled out that was still good and for some reason it's impossible to find a longer bolt out here..

    i put the jack on the frame. it happened right before i was going to change my oil, right before i got to the driveway :/ so when i pulled in i jacked it up, slipped jack stands under it did the spare and the oil.

    the spare was perfectly fine and then i here a loud crack, see that fall out from under the car, and the tire went out. it can't just be a coincidence, can it? how much would it be to replace the end link? would i be able to do it myself? and i already know i can't get on from autozone or napa :/

    so i get a flat tire today, pull over and swap in the spare... thirty minutes later the spare goes out?! where i was driving there weren't any potholes or bumps. and then i noticed part of the shock absorber (i'm guessing) broke off...

    i second that. my brother had an o/r on his mustang and got pulled over and was told to take it off. sadly he knew the cop and the cop i guess was mad at him, heh. and this was in Logan County, Oklahoma.

    advance timing today what octane should i run?

    i have my timing set to 14 and i'm running 87 (mid grade for us). i was told by my mechanic to run the premium, 91, but i put 87 in and no pinging at all.

    i was told my 91 AOD and 96k would do mid-high 16s out at bandimere but i dunno about your 89. i haven't tested it stock yet, i should though... i've been waiting for my gears valve body and torque converter.

    Turtle wax ultra gloss users

    My dad used to use Turtle Wax when he took care of his car, and told me to do the same but I heard good things about Meguiars, and went that route instead. I used Meguiars Gold Class Wash and Liquid Wax and I must say it's better than the Turtle Wax in my opinion. I waxed it about a month ago...
