    Cut off the mufflers and turn the pipes out to the side. A muffler shop can do this for less than $100+the price of tips. Real loud and mean. I have been running this for 3 yrs. Sounds wicked at WOT.

    do you know what years of explorer V8's are compatible with mustang 2V PI heads? And I thought that the Modular explorer blocks already had the cooling passage provision in them from the factory being that they used 2V PI heads.

    It will be really obvious if the thermostat is bad, when you remove it the plunger will be stuck open, eg not in contact with the ring it is supposed to sit inside of. If the thermo was stuck closed you would have the opposite senario, your car would run hot make sure you check the temp sender...
