    Is Ford really taking a production break over the holidays ???

    I heard that it takes an average of 25 hours for each car to go from start to finish. Further, Ford is making them at the rate of 1200 / day. Impressive to say the least. (numbers from recollection after watching last night's Travel Channel special).

    How much did you pay for your 96-98 Cobras?

    $19,000 in Feb '02 for my '96. It was in perfect shape. Also had 13k miles FRPP cobra R rims w/ brand new tires flowmasters 3.73 gears and vortech s-trim installed

    This has been a question being posed by a lot of '03 owners - if it goes down below 20k, there will be a lot of pi$$ed off '03 and '04 cobra owners. I would hazard a guess that if the next ('06) cobra comes with a blower, then you might see the '03s go resale down quickly.

    need some exhaust pointers

    Did you look into the solder-in kind? I've had mine for 2 years now, and I haven't had a problem with mine. I got them at http://www.mileliminators.com/ and soldered them in myself. Put some shrink-tubing on them and sealed with silicone and then electrical tape. NO problems whatsoever.

    1996 Cobra Convertible Vortech V-1 s-trim supercharger Um, well, 425 RWHP... can't be bad. Had about 400HP before I went to the offorad H. The engine has survived pretty well also. I take it to the track pretty regularly, but don't drive the car much overall (average about 3500 miles/yr)...

    That was my thinking too - if you had the subframes installed while it wasn't resting on its tires, this is the type of thing that would happen.

    me too! Mine does it every once in a while, and I have under 20k miles. It is a bad throw-out bearing. I'm waiting for the clutch to go before I replace it though...
