T5 issue / rough clutch feel

I have a problem with my T5 conversion - when I engage/disengage the clutch it feels very rough, like the pedal is scraping on something or rubbing. I took the cable off and tried the pedal. Silky smooth. Does this mean that it is a trans or clutch problem? Should I have greased the input...

Fusion key, is it possible to....

AZ pete, why not just buy a new one? Go on Ebay and find a new un-cut one. I would have to guess you will pay close to what that cost ($40-50) in the end by having yours changed out; especially if you have to buy the blade at a dealer.

    new shifter knob

And just to clear it up for anyone reading this, the bullitt shifter boot/bezel is different than the premier interior package shifter boot/bezel. The premier one is the one you want. The bullitt one has a smaller opening for the shifter and the hurst grommet is made the fit the bigger opening one.

    T5-Z trans question.

Something is off then. What clutch & pressure plate are you using? How much travel do you have at the clutch fork? If you have changed a few things you might need to make a couple adjustments to get it right...

My Dad and I hung out today.

Too many nice toys for one guy! I noticed something, is the white one the '07 not the red? I thought this since the red has HID's (08 option)... :D

    T5-Z trans question.

Where does your clutch grab at? Close the floor? Sounds to me like it might need some more slack taken out of it. The T5Z does have the synchro unlike early production T5's. I run a T5z and it used to grind unless I shifted to 5th first then reverse, everyone said it is normal - but guess what...

    Help, problems programming key!

I don't know what you mean exactly, are you asking like Ford Edge or a mercury or lincoln vehicle key? If so, no, I bought a "fusion" key - they could be all the same for all I know though (besides the logo).

    Rim care help...

Treat them no different than you would the paint on your car - try and keep them clean and have a coat of wax every once and a while... never use abrasives, that WILL dull them quick (mess up the clear coat)

Fuel pump hesitation after driving long distances on highway.

I doubt a dealer would do anything about your problem anyway, since your car is a 2007. The problem was "fixed" before job1 2007MY. That is, unless they could recreate the problem....

    TPMS Hardware

It is a 3 minute or less job :D For under $20 I bought the tool. Great investment, since I want to keep the 2nd set of wheels for winter. Programing is no big deal and the display center even walks you through it. Screw the dealers who wanted 1 hr labor charge for this, it is that kind of...
