    Stock? 76 302

My thoughts exactly. My choice, cause I like to do things the hard way is a 302 [got that] enlarged to 347 with 351C [2.19 intake] 2 barrel heads setting on top [got that] a 5.0 truck lower EFI intake [got that] with a Holley 174 bolted on top or maybe a MagnaCharger. I think that this...

    Passing the torch

If everything goes OK this will accompany a picture of my grandson and his project that his dad and I picked up for him. I only hope that he will still fit when he is legal to drive. Take a good look.......he turned 11 the end of July.

    Pricing help on a 75 Mach 1

I resemble that remark "little old man" and mine is driven to the corner store about twice a week. It's a little over a quarter mile away [shut down room]. PS my little ole lady has a mean 1-2 shift when required. If you like it buy it, enjoy it. If you think it is too much offer him less...

    Engine and Tranny

I would not replace the 4spd If you can rebuild cheaply maybe then but if you are looking for a rebuilt I would make the jump to the 5 speed. It will make your driving a nicer experience and the T5 may actually be cheaper, and you should be able to find good used pretty easily if you want to...

    Gorgeous King Cobra on Ebay!

During all the discussion on this car no one has brought up the body code on the door. Granted the door could be changed but it should one more place to check. I understand that the body style code for the King was 63F as opposed to 69F for a 3 door and 69R for a Mach 1 [nothing specific for a...

    Supercharging!!!????

Back to blowers A real nice set up is the B&M [now Holley] unit that they make for the SB Ford. Still must keep 8 or 9:1 compression. I think from past experience it's not the size [dual 450s] that is the problem it's multiple carburation that is tough to syncronize. Way back we built a...

Can someone help me detirmine what year/options this has?-

Can someone help me detirmine what year/options this has?-

If you want the car I would pick up the phone and call the state DMV and tell them the circumstances, and ask them for assistance in straightening it out. You don't have to give them names unless you want to. Simply tell them you have found a car that has 2 VIN #s. And that you want to know...

Can someone help me detirmine what year/options this has?-

I agree with jeffnoel nobody would go to that much trouble. You can always make inquireys to the DMV. Just because it is screwed up doesn't mean it can't be straightened out. The 78 codes out to a 2.8 V6 is there a V6 in the car? If the car is in good condition it may be worth the trouble...

Can someone help me detirmine what year/options this has?-

Another good indication of year is the gas filler location. The filler on the 74 car is below the horizontal crease on the rear fender and above it on the 77 and 78. Also the wiper control is in the dash on the early cars and on the turn signal stalk on the later cars. Good luck

    A Wheelie tough decision

I'm not a wheel expert........but I think that if the wheel nut seats are the tapered type and work with a tapered nut then the wheel center size is rather unimportant as the load is taken at the nut/wheel interface. If I way off base somebody please jump in. Later :spot:

My first time at the track!

One thing I've learned over the years is if the person you're talking to hasn't got authenticated timming slips and he's telling you haow fast his ride is you can probably add about 2 seconds to any time they tell you. I remember a 57 Chev that user to run locally [off track night races] and...

Until you replace it take out the bolt in the engine compartment and drop it on the floor. Its easier than removing the drivers seat, or whatever else you've tried. Later :spot:
