    Can you shed a little more light on the "several revisions away from the original part?" Isn't the earlier year model engines the more desired? I'm hoping I lucked up and got a good block. Thanks!

    I just got my 351W ID number off my block. The best I could tell it was C90E 6015 B2 It needs to be cleaned up big time... Anyway, that's a 69 block correct???

    What intake would you suggest if hood clearance wasn't an issue? RPM Performer 351 Air gap? I'm going to be building mine soon so I'm trying to read and learn as much as possible. Sad to say, most of my knowledge has been with rotaries...

    Yeah I'm interested in all this info as well. I've got a 351W longblock that was pulled out of a '69 Cougar sitting in my garage now. I've just been waiting on deciding what direction to go with for a fun weekend streetable car. I don't think I'll have too much of an issue on hood clearance...

    I'm just going to stick with the lap belt when I finish my car. If it is your time then it's your time. Someone will porbably always say "If only he/she had an air bag in that old car or a better seat belt." Then again just install a roll cage and a harness!

    It's got a 289 with an auto in it. A 351W came with the deal and most of the parts to convert it to a manual trans (except a manual trans). I haven't started un packing it yet so I haven't completely inventoried all the extra stuff. Here's a couple more pics of all the extra junk that came...
