    There is a different computer code which comes into play when you get it tuned. I had to wait until a local shop bought the 06 codes before I could change out gears, etc. and get a custom tune.

    The SSM V6 in the 10's started as an '88 2.3L. They threw 3.8 stroked to 4.3, added some internals, shot some spray, and they broke into the 10s!!! Check out there site, it is very informative, and they have a lot of stuff for older V6's. http://www.supersixmotorsports.com/

    Ultimately, I will probably do just that. I just want an open discussion of all of our options. It might be nice to have a stroked 4.5L V6 running a 150 shot of nitrous.... But I wll probably just do some head work and change out the pistons. Then I would feel safe about running 12 psi of boost.
