Any Of The Old Timers Still Here?

Just checked in here today after MANY years, a lot has changed. Finally getting back to work on my wife’s 68 GT Fastback.

    Nevermind, found the specs.

    Gas tank dimensions

Does anyone have the outside dimension of a 2003 Mach 1 gas tank. Not capacity but dimensions. I am assuming that all 99 - 04 gas tank share the same dimensions. I am thinking about installing this tank in a highly modified 68 Mustang, along with it's matching trunk floor with the spare tire...

    Rewiring a Classic Mustang

Is there room to mount the fuse block on the other side of the steering column? I have the same kit and was thinking of mounting it there, unfortunately I don't have anything mounted under my dash at the time to check for clearance. I think it would be easier to access in the future also...

    1968 DOHC 4.6 Coupe Project

Wow, that bumper sure does fit nice. Being fiberglass, would it be easier to get that nice fit than a stock bumper or is it basically the same procedure? Davd.

Good to hear the install made everything right! Let us know how it drives after you get the toe set. David.

Randall Rack + pro-motorsport kit = tie rod issue

I have the randall's rack and pro motorsports bumpsteer kit on the wife's 68, but unfortunatly havent't driven the car with them yet due to me "not gettin my ass in gear and gitten it done"! Those are the wife's words, not mine. I have however moved the steering full lock each way with the...

Would you trade a '67 Mustang vert for...

Definately A if it is in good shape, preferably a 4 speed car. I already have a 03 Mach 1. David.

    make a console pad?

I have been thinking of building a custom pad for my 68 Console as my original 4 speed pad is in pretty rough shape. I would like to add an arm rest, storage compartment to it, similar to the Shelby or 69-70 Console but keep the rest stock looking. Hope to give it a try in early Feb. David.

    New Mustang Steering Product

Jeff, a quick correction to the above question. The 68 tilt/swingaway does NOT in fact have the splines on each side of the rag joint. The column tube has a smaller D shape section on the bottom to which a 1/2 rag joint is bolted too. With this being the case I should be able to just bolt the...

    Borgeson steering box questions

Borgeson has a new intergral power steering box out that bolts in place of the original unit. You don't need the ram or related parts to make it work. There is a discussion on it in the Vendor Sponsor Forums above. Check it out, some good info there. David.

    New Mustang Steering Product

Jeff, have you installed this box on a 68 with factory tilt/swingaway steering column? They use a rag joint with a splined end on each side. My car has factory p/s, I will be replacing all the steering components as the car is getting a "better than new" rebuild/restomod. Could I use manual...

    1968 DOHC 4.6 Coupe Project

What make are those tires? Are the rears the same size as the fronts? Some real nice work going on there! David.

    Retrotek Purchase

Get on it my man, there are a few of us on here waiting for a performance report. I won't be ready to buy and install one until late fall / early winter so hopefully by then we will have some good info to go on. David.

Which front apron should I use?

My vote goes to #1 also. I like how you cut that massive spoiler down to size, however, I would prefer if the center opening was a little wider and a little shallower. David.

    6 speed in a 71 mustang?

What are the shifting charictaristics of your Richmond 6 speed? From what I have read on other sites, some seem to feel the Richmond may be a little harder to shift, and does not like to be speed shifted. Another comment is that the transmission physically fits fine, but it is the shifter that...

    tilit-a-way column

I guess it is fairly rare, but not enough to make it worth megabucks. I've now had three of these columns, and while they are simple enough in how they work, they do need to be adjusted properly. The factory shop manual is probably the best place to find the adjusting procedure. The main areas...

I will give you a classic injection tank if you come with your car!

Someone! Please take him up on his offer so he can get those tanks ready for the rest of us to buy! I could use one just about anytime now. David.
