Have some hot chocolate looking oil in my air oil seperator?

Thanks for the responses. I changed the oil, and it looked good. No hot chocolate or anything like that. How do I pressure test the cooling system? Is that some sort of a pump you connect to the radiator filler? Can you buy that somewhere like Autozone? Thanks for the quick responses...

Have some hot chocolate looking oil in my air oil seperator?

Noticed this after I took it for a bit of a long ride after it sitting most of the winter. I also noticed a little in the oil filler tube in the valve cover. Could this just be from condesation from sitting so long, and only being started occasionally for a few minutes at a time just to keep...

I'll try to get you a picture after work. I'll get a shot of my setup. What make of intake are you using?

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

DJSTORM100, the PCV on the back of the lower intake should have a hose going to the upper intake, but there is also a big hose that goes from the vac tree to the upper intake as well. I'm not sure why your PCV would be popping out, I didn't run into that problem. Maybe VRISTANG will be on, and...

    pulling oil thru pcv

Let us know how it goes. I was surprised it worked, but happy none the less. My motor also is fairly fresh also, just about 1 year and 1500 miles, so hopefully it works for you. I will be very interested to know if it works for someone else. If I remember at Autozone the number on the...

    pulling oil thru pcv

Been there. Man have I been there. How fast does the seperator fill up? I ended up by chance using a pcv valve for a 91-93 GM vehicle. My seperator would fill about half way after just 10 minutes of driving. All I did was switch the pcv valve and bingo I hardly get any oil in the seperator...

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

Well I hooked up the one on the valve cover in series with the one on the back of the intake, and the seperator filled up half way after just a ten minute drive. I'm going to just go with the one on the back going through the seperator. I drove 50 miles with just that one connected, and...

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

I did a cross reference search at Luberfiner.com, and the PCV1255 is for 91-93 GM products. Hope that helps...

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

Went to Auto Zone and the PCV valve is made by Luberfiner number PCV1255. I asked the guy at Auto Zone if he could take the part number and tell me what make and model car its for but he said he had no way of doing that. I'm going to put it on the valve cover tomorrow and tie it into the...

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

Jason, I had already emptied the seperator out, so when I say that no more oil was going it I meant it's still empty. I should have been more clear on that. I may go to autozone tonight to check on the year, make, and model of the pcv valve I'm using. I'm going to get another one, and...

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

The number stamped on the new pcv valve I'm using is 2262. I'll get the manufacturer and what year and car it's for this weekend. I got it at autozone.

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

Just checked the seperator catch bottle, and the level is still the same. Looks like the pcv valve that I installed on the back of the intake is working correctly where as the stock one that was there was not. I may make a trip back to autozone and pick up another one, and try it on the valve...

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

Just an update. Took it out for a spin yesterday, and no new oil in the seperator. I brought it to work today which was about 22 miles, and I'm going to go out and check it shortly. So far so good. I think the new pcv valve is helping/corrected the issue. Who knew...... Joe

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

Jason, Thanks for the logical look at my idea, it sounded good when I thought of it. I put my system together with just the back PCV valve going into the seperator, and then into the intake. I have the one on the valve cover capped off right now. I took it for a spin (about 10 min.), and...

    PCV system problems, still...Need help..

Yes sir, I see what you are saying, the upper intake would be sucking air in through the side of the seperator at well as the bottom (drain). Do you think it's possible that the air pressure coming in from the valve cover through the side of the seperator would be strong enough to force the...
