    Air & Oil Seperator/Catch Can

I have a N/A set up, but found alot of oil buildup in the throttle body. So I removed the drivers side crankcase vent tube, that leads directly into the intake manifold, and plugged the manifold side, and stuck a small crome air filter on the valve cover port. Thus the drivers side vents...

    255's on stock 17x8's

AGREED! I did a set of Toyo 255/45/17's. My car looked very bad. Tiny tires in big wheel wells. Now I'm running a set of 245/50/17 Generals. They fit the wheel wells the way a tire should.

C&L intake with modded PCV system hose

I have a Steeda intake, and removed the PCV system for the drivers side, and replaced it with a simple push on miniature air filter. On the passenger side, I installed an oil separator in-line, to prevent oil from being sucked into the butterfly valve assembly. Its not PC nor will it pass...

Oh, forgot to mention I've owned three previous cars that had "salvage" titles, with no problems what so ever.

how much off for a salvage title?

When a nice woman ran a red light and T-boned my 05 GT, it was a total loss. Basically the drivers door, front fender, and some wheel issues. No frame damage. The insurance company would allow me to keep the car for $4500. So figure a totalled 05 GT can be purchased for $4500, then fixed up...

    Help!!! Steeda Pulley Install Noise!

Maybe the pully did not seat all the way the fist time, and "popped" into place once the engine was run? It is a tight fit, and would only take a small burr or other foriegn matter to keep it from sliding all the way on. Or maybe something with the belt tensioner? Keep an ear out for it.

    MGW shifter

Practice and the springs breaking in seem to be helping with finding reverse. The shifter is also smoothing out a bit. I have the stick low to keep my arm in-line with the center console. According to my wife who is an occupational therapist, it is at an ergonomically "correct" postion...

    MGW shifter

After reading several posts regarding various mods including shifters, I decided to invest a good chunk of change and get an MGW shifter. I must say, that without a lift, the installation was a PITA. Lost a lot of knuckle skin and even a little blood. I'm a big guy with big hands. However...

Anyone have the Steeda SPORT shifter?

Does anyone here have the Steeda SPORT shifter kit? Steeda Sport Shifter Kits - '05-'09 Ford Mustang This is the cheaper version of the sport shifter assembly, and sells for around $140. I can't imagine assembly and attaching it to the shift arm could be too difficult. I do not do any...

"NEW" engine in my car, how can I tell?

I do know that the car has not been lowered... yet. I managed to remove my Ford racing springs from my old GT prior to the insurance company hauling it off. I took a long hard look at the exhaust manifold studs, and motor mount hardware. None of that appears to be new, or have been touched...

    Overspray removal

I own a clay bar and know how to use it. But what if the overspray is more of direct spray? Will a clay bar still cut through it? It is pretty rough overspray.

"NEW" engine in my car, how can I tell?

I will not look a "gift" pony in the mouth... as the car runs great and I am very happy with it. :nice: But considering my previous GT had 72K miles on it, and I took very good care of it, frequently detailing even the engine compartment, I can say this new GT has an even cleaner engine than...

"NEW" engine in my car, how can I tell?

As part of my used car saga, I continue to find suspicious things with my car. My 05 Mustang GT was purchased from CarMax with 65K miles on it. The CarFax report gave me no information beyond the car was purchased by a private owner. No inspections, no licence plate renewals.... nothing...

    Overspray removal

I recently had to replace my 05 GT due to a nice womans refusal to stop for a red light. My "new" ride is also an 05 GT. However, it appears someone had minor bodywork done to the car in Bubba's back yard. Not only were they too lazy to remove the front grille and turn signal lenses...

    Cigarette smell removal

Thanks to all who posted! I particularly enjoyed the suggested use of "smoking lots and lots of weed". At that point burning incense is a must to cover the weed smell. But would I really care about the smell?:rlaugh: Looks like I will be spending a whole lot of time and effort cleaning...

    Cigarette smell removal

Thanks to a nice woman who did not believe the traffic light was red enough, I got the opportunity to replace my 05 Mustang GT. (see avatar):( Regretfully, I could not afford a new Stang, and with limited time and money ended up with a used 05 GT. It is white and was driven nearly 65K miles...

    High oil pressure

Thanks for the reply! I've used this oil and filter combo before without any trouble. There were no other symptoms beyond the high oil pressure. Fearing the worst, I changed out the oil and filter again. The oil pressure is now back to normal. I did not have time to tear it apart...
