    Vibrating clutch pedal

Agreed on the TOB going out. I'm of the camp that the factory quadrant is a pita and prefer to go with metal replacement quadrants, firewall adjusters and new clutch cables. More precise but you have to be SPOT on with your adjustment or you'll kill TOB's.

    Vibrating clutch pedal

A few things possible here. 1: Check the factory plastic quadrant (attached to pedal - that cable rides in). broken springs etc cause it to lose spring tension and do this. 2: Check fork itself to make sure TOB is riding on the fingers etc correctly. 3: ^^ check TOB for issues etc. 4...

Paint and Body Rust what to do now

Somewhat common even in non rust belt states. Find a good body guy and have them cut/patch in material to replace bad metal and get integrity back. By no means is that a lost cause or throw away car. Completely fixable.

    2000 GT-Front Brakes Not Releasing

Do yourself a favor and just do all 4 - that is if you find they are indeed stuck. I got lazy and just replaced my frozen rears in my mach -then found myself replacing the fronts not long after and having to do the fun bleeding process all over again.

    2000 GT-Front Brakes Not Releasing

Likely just the calipers needing rebuilt or replaced. These cars are notorious for that, especially if they sit for any amount of time.

Engine 4.6 Running rough at half throttle

It should run fine on the stock tune- not optimized obviously but fine. Short of an ECM issue - I'd look at all your grounds and connections again just to make sure.

Engine 4.6 Running rough at half throttle

The maf is absolutely required unless you've tuned aftermarket for speed density. So you put a new one in and it didn't improve? I would start checking wiring etc. Also, is the iat sensor picking up correct temps? What cold air - metal pipe with provisions for iat or a plastic jlt type etc...

Progress Thread The Mach Returns - Update/build thread

I'd like to get some carbon fiber snycros in the trans and new shift forks - I'm rough on things. But I'll likely take the WHOLE car to the trans guy so he can set the pivot ball height etc there in shop vs me getting it close. Right now, I have zero back lash on that fork and it's making my...

Progress Thread The Mach Returns - Update/build thread

Ok. Some updates here. I still have yet to make it to the track to test/tweak settings on all of the suspension. I'll report back for the 3 of you reading. On top of all the suspension I pulled the upper intake and did a deep soak in my parts washer using Simple green purple HD cleaner. We...

    Engine Random Misfire at idle.

You certainly need to do the base idle reset I outlined above after finding vac leaks. The car will continue to try to compensate but also re compensate for lack of unmetered air. Do the smoke test to make sure you found all leaks then do a reset. If all other items check out start with...

    Engine Random Misfire at idle.

Sounds like you're looking at all the normal culprits. I can't hear anything on my phone, will try to listen to desktop speakers tomorrow if I remember for some better audio. For the IAC - try buying a ford/motorcraft one if its not. IF you didn't do a hard idle relearn -discconnect battery...

    4.6L 4v motor swap

Yes you can. But do you want too is the question. Compression takes a huge hit. down from 10's in the stock mach to like 8.5:1 maybe? The chamber of the 4v is a lot bigger and a 2v has a bigger dished piston.

    4.6L 4v motor swap

99/01 cobras are identical to a manual (forged crank) Aviator's had an identical motor to the auto cars (non-forged crank). Swap the mach intake on it and send it. You can use an older 4v block and put the c heads on, not sure what that does to compression though, can't remember what pistons...

1996 harmonic balancer crank bolt. Help!

torque it goodentight. I cannot say I've honestly ever torqued a balancer or main pulley. Do you not have the factory bolt at all to match the threads/pitch on? A fastenal or similar will be able to tell you the bolt size and likely order a grade 8 or 10.9 to match. GPT says this: And...

1996 harmonic balancer crank bolt. Help!

Should be able to find an ARP if you know thread/pitch/length. That being said - I reuse the factory bolts. (shhh...don't tell anyone).

    2003 mustang v6 3.8 fuel issue

If you have 12v at the wire at the tank then it sounds like the pump has power correct? Can you hear the pump prime at all? I'd drop the tank and put 12v to the pump manually to confirm functionality before replacing a bump of modules. Past that I'd lean towards FPDM being the first culprit.

    2001 cobra ignition timing off

These cars really don't jump timing unless something broke chain or guide wise. Start with the basics. Any codes? How do plugs look? How does coolant and oil look? Tested good starter? (wiring to it good?) How about your fuel pump? hard starting and pinging can both easily be caused by a...
