With the exception of the kmember, (which is the only thing I am scared to even attempt by myself) I have done everything you have done. That whole new rear end is gonna feel AMAZING!!!!! is the 8.8 just a complete stock setup or are you upgrading that to 31 splines and an aftermarket...

    Staggered Wheels, + Lowering

yea, your right i dont know why I keep thinking the quad shocks do that. Yes I know that it prevents wheel hop but for some reason, when I think that, it always end up typing "prevents left/right movement" because thats what it feels like.

    Staggered Wheels, + Lowering

your in the wrong thread for an 88. you need to be on the foxbody threads. this is for 94-04 stangs. but whatever.... you dont want to ditch the quad shocks. you could but it not recommended unless you are doing a torque arm /panhard bar setup. quad shocks stop the left / right movement...

    Interior and Upholstery Replacing Headliner

you make a really small hole with a box cutter and thread the wire though. Same thing with the windshield visors, just feel around for the screw hole with your finger and drive the screw through the fabric and plastic.

    Interior and Upholstery Replacing Headliner

I did the abs replacement from am. its form fitting and it stays put. I did not have to use too much glue to make it stay because its hard plastic covered in fabric. however the back near the window used a lot of glue and still comes undone especially on very hot days so it does hang a...

    Staggered Wheels, + Lowering

thats an 18-295. you can see it has a little bit of travel to go into the wheel well if you hit a bump. my car's rear end for reference. http://i.imgur.com/sqQmo4I.jpg.

    Staggered Wheels, + Lowering

stock ride height very very little chance of rubs. if you hit a bump hard or something, thats a different story. I also neglected to mention. that you could do wheel spacers. I am not a fan of it as its just another point for failure. if the tires rub on an extreme drop you can add a wheel...

    Staggered Wheels, + Lowering

A 2" drop is perfectly fine on stock wheels. if you are gonna put fat tires on the back and have an extreme drop. There is a chance that the inside tire wall will rub on the inner tire well. lower adjustable control arms will raise the suspension height so the tires wont rub. I do not know...

    Staggered Wheels, + Lowering

you will have to be careful with that drop though.inner wheel may rub if you are too low. a set of lower adjustable control arms can dial that in, if you gets a 2" drop and you find its too low. you cant just buy a massive drop kit like that w/o getting the supporting hardware.

    Staggered Wheels, + Lowering

On a 17" wheel you can do 315-40-17 no problem. On an 18" wheel you can do 295-30-18 no problem. 335 are possible, but they may stick out past the wheel fender which may not be good on a lowered ride. you would have to roll your fenders in. Im on 18" and 295 in the rear. using maximum...

    Wheel/tire Setup Help

315 with a 17" tire is the max. 295 is more of an appropriate with an 18" tire. if you want monster wide 315 you want a 17" tire so you have more side wall to flex when you are launching. 18" tire with low profile tires gives you more control at the risk of having more unsprung weight. a 315...

    315 Or 305 X 18???

I run Nittto 555 Extreme 295-35-18. my car is lowered though http://i.imgur.com/1EnuMWq.jpg I couldn't run a wider tire if i tried! If you are worried about grip, yea there are benefits to running an extra inch of grip on the tire but the cost / performance ratio is really nill these days...

How Much Has My 02 Been Lowered?

I dont know if that is necessarily true, I run 295-35-18, and I can put about a finger between the tire and the fender and I have no scraping issues. of course adding weight in the trunk may change that. Also driving like a jackass may also cause rubs when you hit bumps. I have been...

How Much Has My 02 Been Lowered?

can you look at the spring and see if you can see any labels? or engraving that would give us a better clue? what kind of shocks or struts to you have? then we can make a more informed suggestions. I started with this as my 1st mod and gave me about 1" drop. 1999-2004 Mustang now they...

    Rear End Compatibility?

The thing is the rear end is pretty damn strong, I am not really sure your plan to replace is really justified. I am just saying a lot of play is probably being caused to whatever is hooking up to your rear end. I would investigate worn springs, worn shocks, replacing quad shocks (if you so...
