    3:73 gear question

Now I'm not sure if I got the whole kit. I had Summit Racing beat GEF's price. Summit's price WAS like $189. I got them to drop it to $139, so it was $147 shipped. I never opened the box, I just brought it to the shop that did the install, when I got it back, it just had the old 3.27 gears...

    351 into gt?

Of course it's possible. Saleen made the S351 until 2000, as I recall. It's also pretty easy to set up a 351 for the 5.0 style FI. I know Trick Flow makes a lower intake that fits the 351, and it will accept a 5.0 upper intake. As I recall, the 351 has a taller deck height, so the hood may...

Mach 1 and my GT raced at the track

I wouldn't feel bad if I was you. You are running some very good times with the number of mods you have done. I would love to own a Mach 1, but I think I want to get my 2V into the 12's NA first. Get yourself some 4.10's and drag radials, and I'd be willing to bet you'd be in the LOW 13's...

    2005 GT Motor Pics, 3-Valve

I can't wait to see someone get their hands on one of these. I'd really be interested to see what it would take to do a headswap on a 2V car, if it's going to be possible.

Decided not to FEAR the GEAR!

That was just for the gears. The guy that did my install included everything else in the install. Got a question for you guys with 4.10's. What kind of 1/4 mile gains should I expect with just the gears?

Decided not to FEAR the GEAR!

Like I said earlier in this thread, I got Summit Racing to beat GEF's price, since they only charge $8.40 or something for shipping and handling. Just make sure you have a current magazine that both Summit and GEF advertise in. I used the Jan '04 issue of 5.0 Magazine. I got my SpeedCal for...

    T-45.... T-50 ????

Actually, not exactly. The TR-3550 is rated at 350 ft/lbs of torque, whereas the TR-3650 is rated at 360 ft/lbs. This is how Tremec's model numbers break down. The "TR" stands for Tremec design. The next two numbers (36 in the 3650) multiplied by 10 is nominal torque rating in ft/lbs. The...

    Is it my Tranny?

:stupid: What he said. If you have an auto and the fluid level is good, I hate to say it, but I'm pretty sure you have issues.

Bad pics in the dark, only new ones I have, though. Maybe I can take some new ones tomorrow.

Decided not to FEAR the GEAR!

I've only driven it on MOSTLY dry pavement once, and it was really cold outside, wihich doesn't help traction any. I have Nitto 555's front and rear in 275/40-17. Second spins for a good while if I nailed it hard enough, then I get a chirp out of third. I think it'll do alright on the track...

Decided not to FEAR the GEAR!

Thanks. Usually you either love the yellow, or hate it. Some guys tell me it's girly, and the fact that a girl owned it before me and had a license plate on it that said "TWEEDY", doesn't help my case any :nonono: . But I like it....it turns heads. Nope, the bike isn't mine, it was a...

Decided not to FEAR the GEAR!

Here's another one. I'll try to get some newer ones later tonight. Kinda busy right now, trying to decorate a Christmas tree with a pair of 2 1/2 year old twins, a dog, and a cat running around. :nonono: Hopeless.

Decided not to FEAR the GEAR!

I might have some that I took in the dark, but since I just recently reformatted my hard drive, I don't have the digital cam drivers loaded. Maybe I'll wash her up tonight and post some pictures here. I know I've got some of before the wheels/tires/suspension (it had Eibach Pro-Kit springs on...

Decided not to FEAR the GEAR!

70 mph is just a hair over 2500 rpm, and 80 is right at 3000.

Decided not to FEAR the GEAR!

I had it done at All Ford Performance in Vancouver. It was like a 130 mile drive, but worth it. Labor was $240, the Track Lok rebuild kit was $75 (which included an extra set of clutches to make the diff tighter), and Amsoil fluid was another $18. Total with everything, including the gears...

Decided not to FEAR the GEAR!

FRPP. Got them for $147.40 shipped. I had Summit Racing beat GEF's price and it was only like $8 for shipping instead of $24. :nice:

Decided not to FEAR the GEAR!

And damn, am I glad! Got my 4.10's installed yesterday, and finally got some dry pavement tonight :D . All I can say is HOLY *****!! This should have been my first mod. It was by far the best mod I have done so far. To all those out there who are debating between 3.73 and 4.10......DON'T...
