    Like some others said, run street radials at recommended pressure. Do not do burnouts and stay out of the water. Maybe go up a couple of pounds on the front. If you really want better times at the track, get something lighter all the way around for the strip.

    did you drain the tq converter as well as the pan? Should have needed 8 or 9 qts of fluid if so. If you did that, take out some fluid and put in a quart of Trans X or Lucas trans conditioner.     If you had gone a 13.4x and made it up in the 60, your trap speed would have been arountd 103. You will not make up the time on the big end without internal work. Lot of difference between a 12.97 and 13.5, also 105 and 107. I can make a 14 sec run at 101 or a 13.6 at 98.

    When it will not start, pop hood , use the handle of a screwdriver and wack the IAC once or twice, then try to start again. If it starts, that is most likely your problem.

    that would depend on tune or mods. If you has some aftermarket MAF housing, it may be a little lean. If you change to free flowing exaust you may have the opposite. They do not run pig rich or lean normally. Without a wideband you will not know.

    make sure you have plenty of stopping distance. I have done something similar. Mine smoked a lot at first but they were fine. the brake cleaner prob. took care of most of it.

    that timing cover may have the pads for the tensioner in the wrong place. I think 96-99 same and some 99 are different.
