    i'll be the first to say it. I HATE SPEC CLUTCHES. they break alot, have outrageous pedal effort, way too grabby, cust service is ****. i know there are alot of guys on here that feel the same. i do like my king cobra, but my next clutch will be a custom job through a place here in town.

    on a stock block i would not go any lower than 42's. if you build a 408 then i would go 60's. as for the fuel system you should be able to get by with a 255 in tank, t-rex with the 42's and stock block. with the 408 you will need a better tank pick up, lines, rail, etc. so figure...

    i would ask whoever is making the trans then. alot of those guys have local clutch makers that they swear by. we have one here in town that everyone raves over. being that it is still a t5 you might want to consider something out of the ford racing catalog.

    prolly not now that i am installing a turbo. i prolly would have got a 600 with road race 5th and a 3.27 rear gear. but i do have everything sorted out and it works great.

    QUICK! Install Question

    you should have two vacuum ports on the upper intake that it will connect to. one is underneath the upper and the other is on the side right next to the brake booster. fwiw after i swapped intakes i only run it off the one under the intake and capped off the other. hope that helps.

    they are talking about boxing your stock lca's since the sway bar fits inside the stocker. if you have sway bar mounts and a sway bar then you will be fine.

    seriously man, you just need to call the engine builder of your choice and see what they say. its hard to say, and the prices you see on websites are generic that might not fit the bill. i would say bare min your looking at $4k for a dart short block.

    at that power level and that amount of $$$ in a dart combo i would not trust that fuel setup---hence the cartech fuel system reference. the stock block can handle 500rwhp---as for how long depends on alot of diff things as well as a bit of luck. just curious how long its gonna take for you...

    just cram the boost in there till ya do :D don't forget about that fuel system. cartech makes some nice kits, and any quality engine builder can give you a quote on the dart block as options will change the price.
