Long Tubes a waste on N/A cars.

And I could bolt on a TB/plenum to my set up and match or exceed your curve and peaks. It would be cheaper and tons easier to install a TB/plenum. I realize LT's provide gains, but they are minor for the work and cost involved. The most SAE hp. our stangs are going to produce with bolt-ons is...

Long Tubes a waste on N/A cars.

You say you added an Autologic chip at the same time you added your LT's. You never tuned your car prior to the longtubes and you made 248.3 rwhp SAE. You could have just tuned your car without the LT's and you would have been pretty close to your 260 number with an aggressive tune. My car...

Need you expert types to recommend a good "intake" setup

The stock intake w/ a drop-in K&N filter is enough for 250-260 rwhp SAE. That's the most you'll see with the current bolt-on mods. offered for our GT's. Don't waste your money on an aftermarket intake unless you are going for looks. The stock MAF is fine too.

Long Tubes a waste on N/A cars.

So you are saying your car only had 240 rwhp prior to your LT's? 262 - 18 - 3 (no cats) = 240 240 for all of your mods. and a tune is the lowest I have ever seen. Prior to your LT's, you had similar mods. as my car and my car produced 250 SAE rwhp. There is no way you picked up 18 SAE...

Long Tubes a waste on N/A cars.

Exactly - peak hp. gains are minimal, if any on a N/A car, but many LT owners will argue this too. Nobody is in a hurry to admit they just installed LT's and saw very little peak gain. You are the first to admit it that I have seen. Thanks for the honest feedback. There isn't enough of it...

I have 4 (5 lug) 17x9 Cobra R replicas from AFS mounted with Kumho 712's (275's on all four) I am selling for $175 a piece. They tires/wheels are already mounted/balanced and have about 5K on them. I have pictures. They are the silver painted ones. I got everything through Tirerack for $300...

03 Cobra Radiator on GT Stang

Your mustang actually makes more horsepower when it's at normal operating temp. Ever notice when you dyno, most of time your second pull is better than your first? I went to a dyno day and noticed this occuring on most stangs. In fact when they dyno tuned my car, they drove it on the dyno...

    Traction

Good luck on traction. My tires break loose from a roll in 2nd gear and I only have 250rwhp/292rwtq. and 4.10's.

    MIL Eliminator

I think he would pass with highflow catted pipe even with the sniffer test. The highflow cats do help to eliminate emissions. However, I can't say for sure, because they never actually tested my exhaust, only my computer. I swear I read in the past that other's have passed with aftermarket...

    Performance Chip Opinions

You be the judge. My Autologic Chip and dyno tune cost me $250. The chip and tune adjusted my engine timing, a/f ratio, speedo, cooling fan temp. and permanently got rid of my MIL from my x-pipe. Gained peak 8 rwhp/10 rwtq. from in the process as well. Saw consistent gains from 3000 rpms...

    MIL Eliminator

My bad, I can't type this morning or read correctly. I noticed you wanted to pass with an o/r pipe. I doubt you would pass. MIL's won't help. You need cats.

    MIL Eliminator

I can tell you that my car passed a few weeks ago. I have chip that corrects my MIL. Anyway, they didn’t look a my exhaust. They just hooked up their computer to my car’s computer under the steering wheel. 30 seconds later I was on my way. I think the Ford has stricter emissions tolerences...

New numbers with plenem and t-body combo

Go back and ask them to give you the dynojet files and download the Dynojet software off the web site. You can then convert the runs to SAE. After you do that, give us your results. Uncorrected only tells you what power your car made at that given moment. Everyday things can change...

    Ready to order the Gears-question

I just had 4.10's installed last night. I have only driven about 30 miles with them so this is my first impression response: They are not that big of a deal. Don't get me wrong, the car gets into the powerband quicker and yes, the car feels quicker, but it's not like night and day. It's...

Track Results of my 04' GT

You are running just fine for stock and your elevation. No offense to you, but for all those folks who believe the '01+ GT's are running stronger than the '99-'00's, I hope this helps deflate that myth.

    plenum/ throttle bodyand a/f ratio?

The C&L plenum and TB combo will lean out the a/f ratio a bit more - 0.2-0.4. I asked Lee Bender of C&L and that's what he told me. Unless you car is already on the verge of detonation, this minor change doesn't sound like it's anything to be concerned about.

    C&L Plenum

Are you saying the you couldn't burn rubber through 2nd without the TB/plenum combo? I'd think 4.10's would take care of that.

    C&L Plenum

I am assuming your numbers are not SAE corrected unless you have every possible bolt-on + a good tune.
